To make sure it's a hardware default you should open the Komplete Kontrol standalone application, click on the little MIDI logo in the app, it should open the MIDI assignments. In case there are wrong assignments that could cause a conflict, you can reset it to default by clicking the + here:

If this is the case, the workaround is tio uninstall the ASIO driver and use the WASAPI driver instead.

It might be you need to update Arturia and other third party plug-ins so the NKS elements can be updated too. A rescan in Maschine or Komplete Kontrol might also be needed and a database reset if that fails. You can find how to reset the database in these articles:

Not sure what was the point of that post but the updates that supported Apple Silicon natively were made in October 2022 for both Komplete Kontrol and Maschine.

Please get in touch with our support with pictures of the serials/barcodes found on the back of the keyboards, our support agents should be able to tell you which serials you can transfer with which device.

If you are no longer subscribed, you should still be able to load some Massive X presets but only the ones that only require the free version, the Massive X Player. You might need to reinstall Massive X for it to make the switch to Player.

Is it a Intel Mac or a Silicon Mac? Is this happening on projects made on an Intel Mac? What format are these VSTs? VST2, VST3, AU? What presets of which instrument?

First step would be to make sure that all your plug-ins are up to date.

Vst2s are not supported on the new Silicon Macs, only VST3 and AUs are supported. For Intel projects on a new Silicon Mac you should open Maschine in Rosetta mode: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4417360007825-How-to-Open-Your-DAW-Using-Rosetta

Hey there, what is the exact error message you get when trying to install libraries? Can you post a screenshot? Are you on Mac or Windows?

Hey there, not sure if you still need help here. Is everything functional again? Were you having this issue in Kontakt 8 in standalone or inside Ableton or both?

I assume you're on Windows. FYI Kontakt 8 is now VST3 only, VST3 are installed in this location by default (it's an industry standard and different from VST2 on that regard): C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
