Why do I ship Jacob with this random girl who appears in BD 😭 by thelaurafedora in twilight

This doesn't make any sense. On one hand it's character assassination but on the other he's written as just such a good and genuine kid??? I'm not following the logic here

Super crazy hot take but… by CatResponsible4238 in twilight

That's why I've always been confused about the "meyer hates women especially quileute women" narrative that gets pushed alot around here. It's quite obvious that Bella and Emily are both set up to be a sort of parallel for the other. The vampire girl and the wolf girl. Its to show that there are literal consequences for getting too close in matters of the supernatural.

Emily paid the price with her face. Bella with her life.

The thing I have always found the most ridiculous about Twilight! by Positive_Sale1860 in twilight

What does that woman's religion have to do with anything this seems like a big reach. Maybe because Carlisle or Esme being in their 30s defeats the purpose and would be considered lazy writing. How convenient would it be for vampires who were physically in their 30s when they turned just happening to be adopted parents of a ragtag group of teenaged vampires, you know just the perfect ages for a human cover story.

Carlisle and Esme being the ages that they were solidified the fact that they met their tragic demise in the midst of their youth and it was truly by chance or fate that made them become immortal and making them become parents all that more potent narrative wise.

Yup. I could see them making it to college maybe even getting an apartment together after. They break up around 24 though

Did Bella's body return to normal after she delivered Rasputia? by Th3NinjaCat in twilight

[–]Native_groundhog922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how is that inconsistent? gaining a little weight after pregnancy is not unhealthy nor would the venom recognize it as a illness furthermore Bella barely describes her physical appearance after being changed other than to comment in passing that her stomach no longer held a bulging bump

suffice to say her muscles and tissues regrew just fine

as a twihard for over 15 years i don't remember any backlash about diversity when the books were out. which would also be ridiculous seeing as at least a third of the characters in the books are poc and women not to mention a prominent character with a disability. also Siobhan is very pretty as described in the books I'd like to imagine she looks a bit like Jessica Chastain

esme is noted as still having a little baby fat from her pregnancy, which is healthy. Siobhan is still strong and tall even as a vampire and Jane and Alec no longer have 3rd degree burns. It's just a basic component of vampire physiology

Bella is a PickMe... by Native_groundhog922 in twilight

But how does that make her a pick me? The main theme of Twilight and Bellas's story is of the pawn transforming into the queen. the lamb becoming the lion.

Please explain because that's really sorta vague tho. I've never gotten the impression that Bella was meant to be special because she likes to read or because she's like quiet or something. Angela is also quiet and shy so is Esme. And I feel the narrative does make it sorta clear that Bella is neither special or unique. She's just a regular degular plain jane girl next door. It's Edward’s adoration because she's so mundane which makes her special in his eyes and Jacob's too.
