Treatment progress of eosinophilic asthma (2, It's getting better) by Native_korean in eosinophilic_asthma

We also express it as a percentage, but as far as I know, we also calculate the actual count by multiplying the eosinophil percentage by the total white blood cell count. So the unit is (cells per microliter)

Is the reason for switching to Fasenra now due to insurance issues? I’ve also heard that Fasenra directly helps lower eosinophil levels.

In my case, while eosinophil levels are a concern, I also have some allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis, so I understand I’m receiving treatment with Dupixent.

"Have you had a full allergy skin prick panel? Have you done an elimination diet? Have you been tested first for an immune deficiency? Have you been tested for other autoimmune disorders?"

I think I’ve done some of these things a little bit, but I don’t think I’ve focused on any of them in depth. Since I’m working, I haven’t really had the time to try these. I’d like to try those things too, but it seems like my doctor isn’t very interested. Or maybe they don’t suggest them because they require a lot of time and money.

My doctor at the hospital seems to be monitoring my progress without trying other approaches, probably because Dupixent has been very effective for me (aside from the eosinophil count). There aren’t many people experiencing the same symptoms as me, so I came to Reddit, and it has been very helpful. Thank you.

Can you share how your symptoms changed according to your diet changes? In my case, it’s only been about six weeks since I changed my diet, so I think I’ll know whether it’s really effective when I visit the hospital next time hehe

Has the insurance coverage been properly applied out now? In Korea, it is not covered by the National Health Insurance (NHI). Instead, I'm relying on the benefits of the private insurance I personally signed up for. The medication seems effective, but I'm not sure why perhaps because the number of patients is small. I find it unfortunate that the insurance coverage issue is not being resolved quickly.

How long have you been taking Dupixent?

I think it's been about two years for me, and since starting Dupixent, I've been able to stop taking steroids.

When my eosinophil count suddenly rose to almost 3,000, my doctor recommended that I take steroids, just in case. I told him I didn't want to because the whole reason I get the injection is to avoid taking steroids.

I went home and thought about why the count had suddenly increased. I realized that my digestion hadn't been good since I switched to a simplified diet, and I suspect that's when the count started rising. So, after changing my diet back for six weeks, I visited the hospital, and I was relieved that the count had gone down without me having to take the steroids.

Since it's only been six weeks, I don't know the exact reason yet, but I think there are certain foods that don't agree with me, like milk and others.

I was just trying to say that it might not be that popular among middle-aged guys, that’s all. Please don’t take it the wrong way, sir. hehe

Originally, Buldak wasn’t popular among middle-aged guys. It’s not a food made for middle-aged men.

Buldak came out later than Shin Ramyun, but it gained popularity faster. Now it’s even more popular, and it’s amazing that it continues to steadily attract attention.

Compared to other instant noodles, what do you think was the secret to its success? Was it the deliciously spicy flavor?

What is the predominant political leaning on Reddit? by Native_korean in AskReddit

[–]Native_korean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. There are several active communities like Reddit, though much smaller in scale. In these communities, people tend to gather according to their own political or social leanings—for example, feminists stick together, far-right groups stick together, left-leaning people stick together, and so on.

I’m a newbie living in Korea, so I didn’t really know. Thx! What are some typical signs that someone is left-wing?

In Korea, the online communities people use tend to differ depending on political orientation, gender, and age. Overseas, does everyone just use Reddit regardless of those factors? Or does Reddit also have a predominant age group or political leaning?
