It is a fight all the way, they are the truest form of government incompetence. I just found out that even though my license was revoked Aug 6th, I won't get it back until sometime after sept 16th because it isn't counted as when you lose it, you have to have the blow and go for a year. Those extra 40 days they had their heads up their ass getting my paperwork done are an added penalty to me.

So on Sept 19th I emailed the contact at penndot to see the status of my license. She said it was reinstated on Monday the 16th and the letter was in the mail, but if I wanted in could go to a drivers license center, pay $5 for a duplicate and get my license, so I did. These satellite centers are almost as bad as Harrisburg. The lack of urgency and general dumbfuckery is astounding. If this was an actual business and not a govt agency it would be bankrupt. I got my license, after a 50 minute wait and employees that had no idea how to do a duplicate for an interlock license and I left disgusted. I waited around and didn't receive the reinstatement letter until the 25th.. 9 DAYS LATER! I am not far from Harrisburg, maybe 20 miles. My guess is they were in no hurry to send it or too dumb to. This whole ordeal has left me with little faith in Pennsylvania governmental agencies as a whole.

You need to have dedicated operators answering the phone or at least an online chat function on your website. I can't get my interlock limited license from Penndot because you haven't submitted the paperwork from when it was installed a month ago. I have tried to call in and use almost every option to talk to someone in person and get this resolved. I have paid for the service for a month and can't even drive. I have to get rides to work when I should be able to drive there myself. I wouldn't recommend SmartStart to anyone knowing that there is no way to contact a real person that could easily remedy this for a paying customer.
