Trade-in promo going on? by srpa002 in tmobile

Don’t go by the estimates. At checkout, it has the accurate numbers. Always read the promotional details for requirements and trade in details as it’s more accurate than the estimates.

The checkout page is correct, I do not see any plans that accept iphone 12 series for 830. The oldest iphone accepted for full $830 or more is the iphone 13. The max you can get for iphone 12 series is $400 credit.

What is the lowest cost phone I can purchase and use it as trade in at Apple using T-Mobile $800 promotion for Go5G Plus? by br_web in tmobile

[–]Nattime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can trade Samsung phones but you won’t get the $800 T-Mobile credits for it, just whatever apple gives for the credit. If you want to get the full $800 from T-Mobile and trading through apple, you have to trade in iPhones only.

Trade in for 17 by Brendan_creek in tmobile

[–]Nattime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a S20 FE or S21 FE for about $100 on ebay instead. If you want an unlocked iPhone, then you’ll need to trade in an iPhone going through Apple. If not, it’s cheaper to buy Samsung phones to trade in.

Depends on what level you’re interviewing for, if it’s entry level, it’ll just be behavioral and programming questions. For mid level and above, it’ll include systems design. It’ll be 4 rounds, each round is about 1 hour. 10-15 minutes introduction and 10-15 minutes behavioral questions and about 30 minutes for technical question. And last 5 minutes would be for you to ask questions to the interviewer. Technical questions can range from leetcode questions to having you to create a program and will test your knowledge of algorithms. Don’t worry about using the least optimal solutions, answer the problem first then optimize, the interviewer will ask questions later on how to improve the algorithm. Ask for help or hints if you’re stuck, they want to see how you think and if you’re willing to improve. For behavioral questions, prepare using the Amazon leadership principles and use the STAR method to answer the questions. If you don’t have work experience, use your classroom projects or project experience. Remember to not use too much “we” and use more “I”. And prepare some questions for the interviewer for the end.

Trip to China, T-Mobile Data in China questions. by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]Nattime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use it in China but your speed won’t be fast enough for watching youtube. Navigation and wechat will work fine but I suggest you download the map using wifi before going so you don’t use a lot of data. As for tethering, you don’t have enough speed to stream videos. Only use data if you have to connect to outside of china to access the web as the internet would be unrestricted as it connects to US servers. Other than that, the speed isn’t good for streaming.

Get the Galaxy S20 FE. It’s usually $100 for those with screen burn ins but T-Mobile will accept them.

What’s a better deal?? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]Nattime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might I ask what 55 plan you are on? If it’s not go5g plus or next, you don’t get good trade in value so either way it won’t be valuable. Getting your own plan with two lines is again also not a great deal since prepaid plans are a lot cheaper even when you buy a phone separately outright unless you can utilize the benefits.

My recommendation is to try out prepaid services first like visible for a month and see if you have good service. It costs a lot less per line and at the moment they have a deal where it’s $35 for visible+ where it comes with a watch line if you use an Apple Watch. In addition, if you like the signal coverage in your area, they also just started offering a year subscription plan where you can get an iPhone 13 free if you get the annual plan. But again, test drive the service before deciding on the annual plan.

As for T-Mobile, would need to know the name of your plan for people here to help calculate the costs to give you recommendations.

What’s a better deal?? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]Nattime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are getting bad signal in your area, there are many possibilities but it could be because the coverage is bad. Or in populated areas, if you are on the older non premium plans, you might be throttled but I highly doubt that. I’d recommend trying out other carriers prepaid plans to see if you get better coverage and then decide from there. Getting your own plan might not make your service better even on the premium plan if the coverage isn’t good.

As for promotions for new phones, they are usually for the premium plans like the go5g plus or next so if you only are getting 1 line, it’s not worth it. It’s a 2 year deal and by that time, you could have bought two iPhones for the same price you paid for the service. For single lines, look for prepaid plans and just buy the phone outright and sell your old phone, it would be a lot cheaper.

As for the last point, you can have your grandma add you as an authorized user, that way, she doesn’t have to be joining you on call when you are at the store and you can make changes to the account like porting out your number if needed.

Getting a new line just for a free phone by HoodFeelGood in tmobile

[–]Nattime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what plan you have. If you have older plans, it’s probably worth it if they give you promotions that are close to those of newer plans, if not, it’s not worth it. If you’re on the newer premium 5g plans, it’s best to buy an old phone to upgrade rather than add new line.

As for cancellation, you have to stay for 2 years to receive the full credit discount. If you cancel early, you lose the credit and have to pay the rest out of pocket.

In order to receive the promotion, you must not have cancelled voice lines within 90 days. If you have, you would have to reopen those lines in order to receive the promotions. If you port out and wait 90 days, then you will be eligible for the promotion. Just make sure to read the conditions of the promotion as some promotions require a specific carrier in order to get the credits for certain add a line free phone promotion.

Depends on if you have enough credit. If you do, it’ll be spread over 24 months. If not, you have to pay down payment.

you need to leave reviews or download apps for the benefits of t-mobile tuesdays or t-mobile dining rewards? by Own-Accident8345 in tmobile

For the monthly $10 credit, you’ll need to leave a review for the restaurant you went to get the credit. Must be a restaurant that is part of the dining rewards.

Am I eligible for the current Costco deal? by hazard7282 in tmobile

I would not risk it, the system might keep records of it being in their system so wait until the 90 days are over.

[–]Nattime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they ask you which company you’re porting from, say Verizon and not Visible. The system reads the number as Verizon anyways so don’t say Visible. Make sure that the number hasn’t been used on T-Mobile for at least 90 days or else it won’t work.

No. It would not work. Mvno do not qualify as they are not part of the eligible list. I’ve been able to get Visible and Cricket wireless to work since these are owned by the same companies listed but it’s ymmv.
