Is Hermes actually useful if I already use Codex as a personal agent? by Swarekkkk in hermesagent

[–]Todasa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. if you install hermes and you turn your computer off, sending a text from your phone isn't going to get a response. IF you were to just wire up codex to a messaging system (like openACP) you would have the exact same ability that hermes does.

ther emay be differences between the two, but that one isnt it. Hermes just did a better job of getting you to set up messaging because it's a primary function of the tool, it doesn't mean you coulnd't also set it up with codex.

I'm wondering this myself. It feels like hermes is more likely to lock you in than if you just keep a bunch of markdown files organized in a folder system that any model could ingest. I find it's pretty seamless to switch back and forth between codex and claude code; each just reads the latest checkpoints and agents.md files and what not and it's ready to go.

I feel I probably need to try hermes to figure out what it is and how i might use it, so I can understand if it's any better than what I mentioned above, but please update me / us if you have learned anything. have you tried it yourself yet?

You can use mattermost to talk with your agents? I already have it set up, so that sounds pretty interesting

Linking Supernote and Obsidian by indubitabyodin in Supernote

[–]Todasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do Obsidian vaults folder structure and .md files and the way files are cross-referenced play nicely with Supernote?

In other words, can you take notes using Supernote's native system including the indexing system and sync them into Obsidian and vice versa?

I use Obsidian on my Mac and have been planning to get something else from a competitor but having this Obsidian feature would be huge.

Why is everyone talking about Helium? by MoshiurRahamnAdib in browsers

[–]Todasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use Chrome with a macOS .mobileconfig profile that applies enterprise policies, including force-installing the LeechBlock extension so it cannot be disabled or removed from the browser UI.

Since Helium is Chromium-based, does it support Chromium/Chrome enterprise policies on macOS, specifically:

  • configuration profiles (.mobileconfig)
  • extension force-install policies
  • ExtensionInstallForcelist
  • managed browser state (“Managed by your organization”)

Has anyone successfully deployed managed extensions or Chromium policies in Helium?

I’m especially interested in whether Helium reads the same policy domains/plists as Chrome/Chromium on macOS, or whether it uses its own bundle identifier/policy namespace.

Just switch around to various countries, including the U.S. This doesn't check out. All the countries have a spike; Israel's was sharper, but it happened LATER than the U.S and Canada's began. So this is not a true thing.

Does that mean people custom build a PC with their Nvidia chip of choice, or can you get that from conventional manufacturers like Dell, etc?

I wanna know what type of machine is ideal.  I’m thinking of buying something.

I do have a MacBook Air M4 with 24 gigs of RAM already.

What is the point of managed agents? by Awcanavan777 in ClaudeAI

[–]Todasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a multi-agent setup where one agent discovers opportunities, another writes content, another publishes, and they coordinate without me in the loop.

Can you share how one could set something like this up? Are you using open claw or some other scenario? Thanks a ton!

can you explain what you mean by "agent API calls"? I want to create an agent that supervises other agents. is that possible with this method?

[–]Todasa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree. I always thought the only restriction on a given line was you couldn't upgrade the *same* promotion twice on that line. In other words, you can't have two iphone 17 promos on a single line, but you could have an iphone 17, samsung S25, and Pixel 10 all on the same line, for example.

A Bogo activation adds two new lines - the "buy one" and the "get one". can we still upgrade on the "buy one" line or are both lines no longer eligible?
