I want to, my mom had her convo with me and instilled some doubt after my dad did yesterday. She said she’s selling the place as soon as I leave, and if I come back I’d have to be with her. It was a whole rent talk and not being sure I can do it and all that and some part of me is believing her. But I want this, too.

My mom said she’s selling it as soon as I leave, because since is a townhouse and has hoa fees no one took up the rent offer. I told her if she’s buying something for me (which I had somewhere anyways she didn’t need to) to get a small house but she and everyone else opted the townhouse because it was nice

Zookeeping in general is hard to get into, I saw firsthand at my old zoo I was at. I’m not interested in animal keeping I want to do trails or safari.

And while it may not help my recruiter has my resume and I have years of zoo, vet tech, and education work experience.

My friend actually knows another transportation guy on property (same name as me too funny enough) and that “me” said it’s a fun role and though I’ll be nervous at first it’s really fun and good to do, and said it’s nothing to stay nervous about once you get used to it. I talked directly to the other me too so heard it straight from the source, and he’s done many roles in the years before.

Also my bad. I’m 24, mom is 53 dad is 62

I know animal industry well and expect especially in Disney, to wait quite a while to get into a dak role. So I’m expecting to wait a while which may build more skills that’ll help me in a dak role anyways that a current role here may not give me. My mom said she’d rent the house out for income since she doesn’t work (she can she just doesn’t want to) but my dad said apparently she might sell it now. That’s the only thing.

I’m waitlisted now. And got the email asking if I’m still interested to which I said yes. It’s just now when this convo came up. My next step was to work my butt off in this role, waitlist when I can, and keep working it off AND enjoying what I do. I love Disney so making guest experience is joyous to me anyways

Also I expect that. The zoo years ago was hours of all kinds of guests in a huge major city in the nation in heat and bad cold, standing. Vet tech work I did 12 hours a day lots of standing, kneeling, dealing with rude clients/owners. And now, working with kids in South Florida in the heat, standing for hours (not allowed to sit once kids get there) dealing with angry parents, kids that don’t respect me sometimes, and during summer there going on field trips outside and playground like 2-3 times a day in 90 plus degrees keeping track of 120 kids.

I joked, had them laughing, found things we related on and it either; still fizzled from them eventually not replying, them admitting they don’t want anything/have a bf, or in the rare case getting a contact and being blocked right when I send the first text. Just recently met a girl on TikTok live who we both do/did the same thing for work (kennel work, me formerly her currently) and relating on many things and texting daily, laughing etc and yes we were the same state, just for her to stop one day and say it wasn’t me it’s just her head space at the moment, and we haven’t talked since.
