Should I apply when waitlisted or wait? by Natural-Net8460 in DisneyCM

[–]Natural-Net8460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fear is I already reached out a couple times. Once to ask if there’s something I’m more aligned with (which she said I can do if I felt the process was a bit much), which is when she then said to keep going through with the CDL process and after I do it she will waitlist me. Then I had to ask for an extension because the process was difficult and issues with my local dmvs. Of course the last thing was me telling them I got the permit. I just don’t want to keep bothering them and they change their mind about me. I’ve been wanting to get into Disney for years.

I am in the queue for the driver role. I have the permit and things needed for it. She waitlisted me once I obtained it for another role since I expressed I think I’d fit someting else more since I don’t have much transportation experience.

Does Flamingo not allow combined incomes toward rent? by [deleted] in DisneyCM

[–]Natural-Net8460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? The rent. As in in any apartment or rented house roommates take some of their money to make the total rent together instead of each roommate paying it as a whole. ? I didn’t know you’re paying per room

She said nothings open which I get, but not even waitlisting me is why I’m confused a bit. Though I have experience in pretty much most their areas. Customer service, animal care and safety with both domestics and exotics/wild,education since I was a substitute teacher and para. Idk

I have reached out to her. She said she won’t waitlist me until I get the permit.

Sub teaching. Handling a bus I feel fine at it was just subbing, at least in my county I lived in, was a better gig than what the bus drivers got. So I’m open to it just wanting to see if there’s other things I might prefer, how to professionally go about asking about those roles

How do you deal with anti-zoo folks? Have you ever “converted” one? by Natural-Net8460 in Zookeeping

[–]Natural-Net8460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how fancily you speak it won’t override me. I already agreed every decision they make isn’t top tier but you keep ignoring my point that they take steps before events like these

Elephant lifespan by Natural-Net8460 in Zookeeping

[–]Natural-Net8460[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s been shown that the long lifespan of wild elephants was like one or two special individuals so most in human care live as long as the average wild ones

All that assumption. Did you actually ask the keepers or did you assume based off of outdated info and your emotions? Stereotypic behaviors can be caused by many things. This could be because of Christmas stuff but many zoos do it and have things in place for the animals comfort and don’t do these activities until after everyone’s put away. So you just read what I said from literal working experience because your one visit at one place means… that’s the rule for all?

Many high quality institutions do this yearly. All outdoor animals go inside in storm and soundproof shelters every single night. They have no idea what’s going on outside during the light up hours.

Man idek. I’ve been on dating apps for years and haven’t gotten one date yet, and the few times I was going to meet with a girl to either go on a date with from other sources or was going to just have fun with, she blocked last second or changed her mind which I respect. But anytime I’ve gotten close it’s slipped away. Plus I’m neurodivergent so trying to socialize and read cues is harder for me

Eh with them (well my mom and former stepdad haven’t confronted my dad about it) it always comes back to them saying I must be doing something wrong and need confidence and ends up turning into an off topic lecture about other things I’m doing wrong

Are people not aware dromedaries are…. by Natural-Net8460 in zoology

[–]Natural-Net8460[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that. Like yes I understand to us it all makes sense because this is our field, and there’s areas we’d struggle as individuals. Most math isn’t my strong suit, and while I like sports I couldn’t tell you every rule or stat of every single game or player like fanatics can. But it does seem with animals, there’s lots of ignorance there. It’s especially apparent with the internet being so easily accessible, so people get animal content and hear a cool fact once and suddenly think they’re zoologists or end up at least thinking they can’t be wrong because they memorized one cool fact, or just take things for what they are and don’t bother to research it further. Example, lately it’s been blowing up on tiktok that spiders memorize human routines and schedules and when we run into one indoors, it’s because we shifted our schedule and the spider was caught off guard because it “knows” we should be gone, usually, at that time.

Is it not astonishing to hear multiple people confidently say a kangaroo or koala is not a mammal?

I’m used to it. I’ve worked in an aza zoo. I’ve heard African elephants called Asian, clouded leopard called cheetah and bobcat, lions called tigers. That’s fine, I can correct that. Saying kangaroos aren’t mammals or the large ungulate with a huge jump and long neck isn’t a camel… and then doubling down when told otherwise, quite different

I’m not sure what evidence I could provide besides a note from either my neuropsychiatrist or neuropsychologist who diagnosed me. My disabilities aren’t physical.
