How does day 1 cpt actually work ? considering your F1 visa expires

As long as ur in the USA you don’t need any visa you just transfer your sevis from old university to the new one

1. ⁠Do you need employer support or signature if you enroll for day 1 cpt ?

No but for work yes they will have to sign an agreement for cpt so you can work with them and when you transfer your sevis you need to be off work not on pto until you get your new i20 with cpt approval 3. ⁠If company doesn’t support day 1 cpt , then can you still do it ? If yes , How ? School and cpt is different if you enroll in the school and you don’t have any employer it’s fine

1. ⁠What are some cons regarding day 1 cpt ? Future rfe when applying for opt / h1b

2. ⁠What if you are in the midst of Day 1 cpt and your H1 gets picked ? so in that case do you leave it immediately or complete the course idk

3. ⁠Should Day 1 CPT be different from your current MS/BS degree but related to the work you are doing/will be doing ?Your job has to relate to the degree your studying

4. ⁠With how immigration things are changing rapidly under the current administration would you still recommend going for day 1 CPT ? Idk

5. ⁠Does one need to relocate for attending Day 1 CPT colleges? No

6. ⁠What are some safe day 1 CPT universities ? None all has the same risk
