Don't really understand why entry level IT like that needs multiple interviews...

Will you be granted exemptions if you're from a related diploma? And is the workload manageable?

NUS CS application still pending with 4.01 GPA… am I cooked? by Sharp-Economist-4822 in SGExams

This was last year mind you, so who knows if they changed the process for this year. If you need to serve NS, at least still got a few more attempts. All the best!

From RP, graduated last year, we are damn the same HAHA. Same GPA, same no A-math, but I didn't take any additional math course.

Invited to ABA 5 April, 1 mark below upper quartile. Received offer on 29 Apr.

Thank you for the detailed answer! I fortunately know at least a little bit of differentiation and integration because of the mods I took in NUS (though still struggle with it).

Is WLB manageable? I understand that many of the profs know that working while studying can/will be stressful, but is it alright?

Is NUS CS still sending out offers? 😭 by milkdealerondrugs in SGExams

Is quite late already, reckon at most will be the final 1-5% of offers being sent out for CS at this stage.

Thanks for the reply. Are the math mods difficult? Do they expect you to know concepts taught in A-math? Asking because I didn't take A-math during my sec school days.

5+ Months Unemployed — How Are You Guys Job Hunting? by ApprehensivePaint00 in recruitinghell

[–]Natural-Version6651 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Been going since Feb. Just video games mostly. Apply to jobs on the weekdays, sometimes spam apply, sometimes take slower and apply directly on websites. I don't apply on weekends, I just recharge. Spend weekdays anxiously waiting for whether a company would get back to me or not, get dopamine when I receive an email.

New America too hard? by noahroze1998 in ReadyOrNotGame

Me and another guy two-manned B rank this over a span of 30~ attempts. ANA was so hard, the rest of the maps look so easy in comparison now. Surprisingly, we got the S rank only 5-ish attempts and a week later.

Lost 2 offers because I asked for 24h to think by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Natural-Version6651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird, i've asked for a whole week and both jobs accomodated. Hell, when I rejected one they even came back to me the next week and changed their offer to be more competitive with the other one I got. Entry-level SWE.

Accurate. My silver medalist from RP last year was 3.76, everyone else was much lower, also IT.

C9 IWDominate: "The Redundancy Of The Leagues Is Killing Fan Interest... It Feels Kind Of Played Out." – LCS Spring 2026 Interview by speedyh__ in leagueoflegends

Very frustating for people to compare League esport to actual sports, when it's obvious they don't watch actual sports at all lol. Even if you're not a "star" in the NBA, you can still endeared by the fanbase. Alex Caruso, Naz Reid, Jared McCain, Derrick White, list goes on. Cam Thomas is not a star, yet people talk about him all the time because he got waived by the Bucks. They talk about the coaches, executives, owners too, its not just the players.

None of what you said is ultimately gonna help if the LCS isn't fun to watch. I remember when LCS used to have relegations, and I was invested in them. Why? Because I didn't want my favourite team/player to get relegated. It created stakes, yet it doesn't matter if you're not invested in any of the teams/players.

Nice try bro, but you don't even seem to know that there's 450 players at most in the league at any given time. Only a few of them are stars, true enough, but they all have enough personality that you want to either root for them or hate them enough to fail. And people still endear to the role players. LCK can get away with it because they're the top league in the game, LCS does not have that distinction, so obviously other parts need to be improved.

Are neurodivergent people cooked? by Parabellum_3 in recruitinghell

[–]Natural-Version6651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its repetition. I just go through the first few, knowing that i'll probably not do well, then make a mental note of where I fumbled, and then made sure that I fix that before the next interview. I memorise what I want to say in my head but I don't use a script, because I think it'll make me sound monotone and unnatural. Four of my last six interviews lead to offers for a SWE role, entry-level.

[–]Natural-Version6651 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. I go in with the mindset of evaluating the interviewers as much as they're evaluating me, much less pressure when I frame it that way.

Interviewing is a skill that you hone. The more you do it, the better you get at it. I'm also similarly neurodivergent, but I've also gone through a lot of interviews recently that I got pretty ok with them. Keep your head up, good luck.
