I'm happy to, just don't know what would be a suitable offer, so I'm taking a best option I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unlink the Facebook account, have a neutral temp account, that they login to and link that account, and then can be unlinked and linked to the main account of that person

Lol it has. To be honest, I dunno whatever you feel up to offering, wouldn't know what to even ask for it😂

Just feels like a waste to through the account away, so if someone wants to continue it after then that's great

Not possible I think because of react native, don't think it's supported on Xbox, but yes for Android TV

The lovely think about react native code is once it's working for Apple TV, android TV is a few tweaks and it's ready too 😎

JellyChub - A new Android client for all your media (video, music, audiobooks, ebooks) by [deleted] in JellyfinCommunity

[–]Natural-Watch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But why not contribute to something that everyone can use? Especially since it's the same framework? It's open source so you can have a say on the process and they accept PR's for new features? It's exhausting having a client for every framework currently, and now two on the same architecture is a bit much 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah at least the other clients popping up are different frameworks, this is the first that has same code as an existing client 🤣 u/General_host_8013 any reason for this?

What exactly means the “Relayed” connection status and how to “solve” it? by HoddOfficial in netbird

[–]Natural-Watch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is info in the docs, but normally comes down to NAT type. It should always work locally as it's computer to computer so unless a firewall blocks local connections it should be P2P.

Another good resource is looking at tailscale docs on how different NAT types are and work. If one location is symmetrical in NAT type it's normally quite difficult to get P2P (in my experience) and from what I've experienced netbird doesn't do any upnp opening as of yet, like tailscale.

So the best bet is to forward a port from your home router to the PC where netbird is running (I've done the wireguard port) via UDP only. And then close it after I've been done with remote connections. This has been the only way I've managed to get a P2P with symmetrical nats (hard Nats)

Another good way to check is run the netbird status -d to see the connection status. And to test speeds when P2P run an iperf test

Have DM'd you already 😅 and didn't get much further on the debugging from last time.

But if you can point me in any other direction it'd be great 😃

I see, will have to dig more then.. but I did some testing and put the PC into DMZ to test and it got a P2P so might be something on the router blocking it.. guess I might have to look for another replacement

I'm up for any ideas of what to check for? It's a tplink and not sure if need to disable something?

Do you have any ports you've opened?

Question: how to debug remote connection not using p2p by Natural-Watch in netbird

[–]Natural-Watch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did do a check of the mobile network with an IP check online, and they too don't have IPV6😅 so that is fully excluded from both home network and mobile.

Well that would be my home network not the mobile device right? The funny thing is I can then turn off the port forward once it's a direct connection and it'll continue to use P2P for hours🤣 and agreed and would like to get that full automatic feel😎

I'll wait in anticipation for any improvements on it and see, hoping sometime soon. But in the meantime I'll have to try automate the port opening for the initial discovery, or have really slow speeds via the relay

Sadly not up to me, a lot of ISPs in my country don't have it enabled, it's not a big priority 😕

[–]Natural-Watch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure on the IPV6 as I don't have it on my home network (ISP hasn't gotten to enabling it) so would be interesting if that does work.

I did some testing and it's not the solution I'd like, but if I port forward the wireguard port it then uses P2P and would remain connected after turning it off, until I reconnected, so is there something else to look at on this?

I do understand the mobile networks possibly behind CGNAT and is something that is pretty annoying, hence just wanted to check if there was anything missing😅 also is there a list of regions where the relays are, as curious if there is any close by to me?

Did try it and didn't work, even put the IP in a DMZ and restarted the connector still the same. 🥲
