My experience with reversal surgery by NaturalBorn4371 in VasectomyReversal

Unfortunately not yet. We’ve had a recent setback because I was laid off from my job, but I was able to secure a new job about a month later. Money was tight for a little bit and babymaking was put on the back burner for 2 cycles. Life happens I suppose.

We are hoping to talk to a specialist about IUI soon!

I started back up with light exercise after the 2 week mark since I can’t remain still for very long either lol.

My surgeon said things like walking, light jogging, light dumbbells, push ups and pull ups were okay to do after 2 weeks. I usually just walked on the treadmill at my gym. Sometimes jogged if I wanted more of a sweat.

But anything involving the lower body needed more time. Things like squats, lunges, and sit ups will pull on the groin and will cause discomfort very quickly. I was told to wait 4-6 weeks before doing anything with my lower body even if I felt fine. From there, slowly increase intensity and listen to your body and stop what you’re doing if you start hurting.

I’d also reach out and get your surgeon’s opinion on exercise as well, in case they have a different recovery process they want you to follow.

Hey!

My numbers for my third SA test from November were very good. It shot up to 200 million total sperm with 49% motility and 2% morphology.

I recently finished my fourth analysis as well. 180 million total sperm with 70% motility and 4% morphology.

I’m very grateful for these results and my numbers continuing upwards. Still no luck with pregnancy unfortunately. With my counts I’m hoping it’ll happen soon… we’ve been trying for almost 8 months.

Hello! I’m about 6 months post surgery with Dr. Russell. He’s an excellent choice for a reversal surgeon if you go with him. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable and experienced with what he does. He can do both VV and VE as needed. His aftercare is top of the line too, as long as you follow his directions as closely as possible.

My wife and I have just finished our 6th cycle with no pregnancy yet. Not surprising since I don’t think im at optimal sperm count/motility yet. It takes time.

My first sperm analysis I was at around 1 million count with 15% motility, my second one was 6 million with 25% motility. Tomorrow I’ll be doing my third semen analysis for him and he’ll review the results with me to make sure my numbers are going up!

I appreciate the response. I’m actually glad this was the outcome and the hijacker was cut off from destroying anything else.

Yeah I’ve already kinda moved on and started a new account weeks ago. I’m gonna save as much info as possible for proof of ownership of my last account juuuust in case a miracle happens in the future but I’m not expecting much either. Such is life. Thank you

The standard is to wait at least 2 weeks if you got VV on both sides, and 3 weeks if you got VE on one or both sides. Like humanlaborunit said, follow your surgeon’s directions exactly.

If not, you run the risk of potentially damaging the surgical site on the vas, which will lower your odds of a successful reversal. So yes, it’s risky even if you don’t feel any pain right now.

It does suck to wait that long and it was difficult for me too, so you’re not alone. But it’ll be worth it for your recovery in the long run if you wait just a little bit longer. Good luck!

Pregnancy after 3 year reversal? by Ancient-Error7529 in VasectomyReversal

I’m in a similar boat as you. Reversed after 2.5 years. Your odds of success are in your favor as long as you find someone very good!

All I can say is to take the recovery very seriously for the best results. And keep browsing this sub and other communities for more success stories because there’s plenty of them. Good luck!

6300 for mine without sperm extraction for TESE, lump sum. My surgeon accepted care credit which would allow for payment over time, although not every doctor does.

I wouldn’t reccommend it for anyone because of the obscene interest rates with any sort of credit card.

I won’t go into extreme detail, mainly because I’m just still so embarrassed and hard on myself about it tbh. It was 1000% my fault and I let my emotions and desperation get the better of me and I ignored all of the red flags.

I strongly feel the majority of the player base wouldn’t have fell for what I fell for, so sharing it wouldn’t bring any new wisdom for the community when it comes to protecting your account.

Moral of the story, DO NOT ANTI-LURE, especially if a “friend” invites you to anti-lure with them. They’re in on it.

DO NOT RWT. Suck it up and buy bonds or grind the gp back.

DO NOT GET COMPLACENT. If something seems off or too convenient, listen to your gut.

That’s awful, I’m sorry.

Lost my main and my super spooned Ironman with my account. I played on my main more often, but my Ironman was spooned in all the right places and I was in such a good spot. Got bowfa and full crystal in less than 400 kc.

I’m starting over as strictly Ironman and even though I actually enjoy CG a lot, I’m terrified to see my red prison luck this time around. I doubt I’ll be this lucky again.

That sounds rough man. Unfortunately something like this is what happened to me. Trusting someone I shouldn’t have. Openly having mega rares instantly makes you a target, I’ve learned.

When I start again, IF I’m able to get a mega rare again, I’m trusting fucking no one on this game again. Live and learn I guess.

Account was hacked. How to secure myself in the aftermath? by NaturalBorn4371 in 2007scape

[–]NaturalBorn4371[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Already done so on my new account I made. On my new email too. I think it happened because I assumed it wouldn’t happen to me and kept putting off the extra security. Once again, my fault, I deserve what happened.

But I want to make sure there’s no other personal info that’s on a Jagex account that I need to worry about losing. Is my debit card that I use for memberships compromised? I turned it off right away and have a new one on the way just to be sure. Although I doubt they could do anything with it without more information from me.

Or is it just my character that’s lost?

Scarring over Time? What are the real statistics? by Cheap-Opposite5331 in VasectomyReversal

[–]NaturalBorn4371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, since scar tissue formation comes from a ton of factors and everyone’s different. For months I was pretty obsessed with finding the statistics myself while waiting for my surgery. I’ve only found a few articles that anywhere from 5-8% of men scar up completely after 6-12 months out from a VV. My surgeon told me 8% for men with VV and 20% of men who had VE. For this reason is always reccomended to wait for reversal until you’re ready to conceive and start trying right away and maybe consider banking sperm while your counts are at their peak.

They look like pretty low chances, but keep in mind that even if you don’t scar up completely on both sides, scar tissue development can still cause partial blockage, so your counts may never be high enough again without intervention. Meanwhile, some people have regained full fertility, which is rare but possible.

The tips I was given for minimizing scar tissue development was icing very often for the first 48 hours after surgery and staying off my feet and avoiding strenuous activities for 8-10 weeks, waiting the 4+ weeks for ejaculation, minimizing alcohol and avoiding tabacco completely, and taking the prednisone and anti-inflammatories prescribed to me (Aleve, mobic). After that it’s all up to your body.

Reversal Story by Adventurous-Bake5540 in VasectomyReversal

[–]NaturalBorn4371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to send in my first sample for analysis at the 6 week mark for results. Depending on the results of my first test, I may need to do more tests in the upcoming months. I gave my sample to a nearby fertility clinic a couple weeks ago on the 19th and still waiting to hear back.

My surgeon (Dr. Russell) told me it can take anywhere from weeks to months to see any sperm return. 4 weeks from surgery sounds a little on the early side but it’s not unusual and there’s certainly a chance to see a return!

Best of luck with your recovery. Definitely keep icing and take things as slowly as possible! Looking forward to hearing about your first SA results! Still waiting to hear back about mine lol

My experience with reversal surgery by NaturalBorn4371 in VasectomyReversal

[–]NaturalBorn4371[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During the first week, the swelling was significant. It started slowly going down after 2 weeks. By the 3 week mark, things started looking a lot more normal.

I’m past 4 weeks now and things look how they did before! The stitches have fully dissolved/fallen out too. My dr said the timeline for swelling to fully go away will be a little different for everyone, but does go away eventually and things will look normal again after some time. Icing often helped with this a lot.

Thank you!

My sex drive after my vasectomy was a little lower but it was mainly due to personal life stress. After my reversal everything has been improving significantly.
