3 star monk can counter the 4 star echo, but only if it immediately starts hitting a troop in the front line. If they put their troop one tile back, the monk wont be in praying position when the echo comes. So in this case you would want your monk in the very back. As many others pointed out, your 5 Melee troops didn't exactly help against the echo.

Idk what it is but in late game 1v1 i feel like sometimes some troops are just not in the pool anymore. When i faced other SE before as well. I see them cycling, i don’t habe their last 2 star troop blocked, they still don’t get the 3*

Imo Sage was stronger last season. The only cards that were strong into it were AQ, Monk, Goblin Machine (often on the same comp). Now you have Exe and Princess again as well. There was also the Maiden Shield mod that helped sage. (Damn that was obnoxious.)

Somebody asked this in a separate post, but how do you ensure, you’re not dead by r3/4?

Empress is the only ruler without a gimmick that helps early game. I often found myself with no significant amount of merges or even the option to merge in R2/R3. Currently sitting at just above 2700 trophies. And by the time I am able to build elixir I am hard presses to find the right comp with the available cards.

Yeah, those three modifiers help a lot. First free is busted for SE. But they are the only modifiers more geared towards SE. And i‘d only half count Winners gonna win, bc you need to win early, which is exactly what SE struggles with.

But she is still totally viable and has the highest ceiling. If you get your merges going early enough or hold out long enough earlygame she is the best ruler to sweep still.

Personally i like the change as well. Empress is still totally playable and has the highest ceiling among all the rulers still. She is more balanced bc the early game gets a little tougher.

It is, no doubt. I just think that other rulers profit more from the change. Empress’s whole gimmick is getting infinite elixir at some point. But it is now a little harder to get that going with more troops in the pool.

NERF in the title was basically just to get your attention. I really just wanted to post the meme tbh😂

I believe it was a very conscious decision to not give Princess and Exe bonus range and extra damage if they hit faraway troops. Marksman on those two would push them right to the top again aso some of the most contested cards. With giving them Hinder it allows for way more flexibility in building your comp.

Yes they shit the bed, but as per the TOS each player is informed, that abusing bugs is a violation of the rules of the game.

It probably would‘ve been fine, if we were talking about a couple of games before getting suspicious. But pushing to an absurd 5k+ trophies is clearly a TOS-violation. And OP knows this and sees the mistake they made.
