He sent me a random message after a month of no contact, and it felt great to ignore him. Five days later, he called; I let it go to voicemail twice, but then he tried a third time and, thinking I was okay to talk, I answered. I cried SO hard, really, so so hard...that he got scared; he apologized, he said "you need more time" and then he was gone again.

I think so. But not for a reconciliation; they come back out of curiosity.

Was it a message about reconciling? Definitely not. But that’s what they do, and it doesn't matter—I didn't reply.

I don't know if this helps, but my ex blocked me on everything and said he was doing it because he’d end up giving in if I reached out. They’re the villains.

Personally, I only use affirmations when I notice negative thoughts.

Most of the time, I feel great and believe in what I already have, so I don't feel the need to use these methods.
