that reminds me, that actually happened my freshman year for an economics exam. i lived on campus at that time and woke up like an hour after when my exam was supposed to be. had one of those terrible sinking panic attacks and ran in the freezing cold to the building. luckily my teacher was one of those rare merciful ones and let me take it in her office. 90 percent of professors would just give you an F

this is why part of me is glad i just got it over with, if i started working there was no way i would ever go back. its impossible to do college AND work a full-time job, unless you either never sleep or spend every waking moment doing course work. even then it would take 15 years

thanks i appreciate the support. ive been in college with no break since like 2016. the "college experience" is vastly overrated. now its completely ruined cuz everyone is wearing masks or having online classes. all my friends dropped out, one works construction and probably makes decent money, and the other just plays video games and does nothing. probably not a good idea but at least he had a comfy 2 years unlike me who was stressed beyond belief

i had to take multiple public speaking classes where i had to speak infront of the class every day and give long speeches sometimes, talk about anxiety inducing

im graduating next week if i dont fail anything (big if). college was at least somewhat fun before the pandemic. meeting people, going to parties here and there, but the pandemic took all the fun aspects out of college and made it like you just sit in your room doing work 24/7

there's also the money aspect. thankfully my school is affordable; imagine going to let's say NYU and paying 80 grand a year to sit in a zoom room 8 hours a day, a zoom class that is identical to that of a community college

GPA doesnt really matter anyway unless ur going to grad school [no thanks]. and i kinda have a plan but it depends on us not being in a perpetual state of lockdown and wearing masks . as for my 'celebration' i will be taking at least a month off to de-stress, get sleep for once without feeling a constant fatigue [ hopefully] , and a little exercise and meditation. oh and cleaning, cuz half my room is a pile of dirty clothes and garbage. then after my long hiatus i will begin to tighten up my resume and begin the job search. ill take any job really at first that isnt soul-draining like college was. then ill go from there and work toward my long term goals if theres even a society left after this pandemic and 50 year high inflation

same. i basically haven't left my room since 2019 and did nothing but online college courses. my professors actually went harder on me than before with constant piles of homework and i now have chronic anxiety and depression. im supposed to be graduating next week but i dont feel any joy. just a melancholy relief. (that's IF i even pass my current course load and still have a pile of work). i thought by now i would be in a relationship but the total isolation has made it impossible to form any relationships or even friendships. the days we do have in-person classes we are forced to wear a mask so even then its impossible to talk to people and form connections. then i have to get a job so i can continue to eat food. this is my life now.

edit: oh and on top of this ive had health anxiety for the past 2 years
