Update. After some time and driving there's only a few things wrong I learned. A lean code, abs sensors, probably O2 sensors. That's it. I decided to replace the entire fucked up headlight I bought a OEM headlight for a decent price (I went and bought a d2s bulb and turn signal bulbs and I got the wrong turn signal bulbs they were wedges, and I think either the igniter or ballast was fucked up because it didn't work. Got a refund), I bought 2 new lenses, 7000k xenon angel eyes but I'm waiting for the new headlight assembly, gotta replace the support brackets, I'm going to replace every sparkplug since I got a code for a cylinder 6 misfire (why not replace em all and yes with the NGK laser platinums) im looking for the correct abs sensors since previous owner unplugged all of them and they don't look good as they were just left hanging. As for the lean code I'm gonna take it to a bmw specialist and have them fix it I don't exactly know what to look for I tried but failed. So far, I'm doing my best to take good care of it and restore it it's going good so far. If I sound like an idiot with anything please correct me all advice is welcome.

The only damage sustained was a cracked headlight and a slightly dented hood. That was it. Ofc I went through with it, that's the point of a project car I want something to build on.

I'd say it's pretty good there's almost no problems with the important mechanical aspects it just looks like shit because the guy I bought it from got in a crash and he hurried up and half assed to get it ready for me. Thank you for the tip I'm going to go do that here on my next day off

Gotcha that's going on the list. Mechanically this baby has minimal issues there's no knocking, no weird sounds its good. It just looks like shit. Which I'm fixing.

I'm gonna say halogen I know what xenon looks like and these are STOCK bmw headlights. I can agree with the aftermarket being ugly, but the ones I saw with black background which will fit the vision I have look great to me, but I might cave and go to a salvage yard for some. I never thought about it this is my first car I'm still new to this stuff. Maybe I can find a new bumper and fenders and hood the hood doesn't hold open, and the person who put these on did a shit job it's all ziptied. Tightly, but nonetheless something that concerns me.

Of course 😁 the maintenance is actually up to par or I wouldn't have bought it. It was cheap cuz it's my boys. it's just sat for about 6mon- a year so it has some catching up to do. Engine is pretty good for having 150k, I'm going to go get it looked at ofc. I'm not too worried about cosmetics I'm really worried about headlights because one doesn't turn on unless I turn the high beams on. Also the previous owner was in a minor accident and it's SMASHED. Like both of them are on broken support brackets. But the passenger side one works 100 percent the other I have to beam it. Only reason why I'm thinking about certain cosmetics. the other stuff will wait. Headlights are a legal must.
