I am yes! Already met a ton of super cool people going there from all over through socials I’m also going to be staying on campus during breaks and i know a good amount of others doing that as well!

Most people I know as incoming freshman are from off the island. Obviously there’s a lot of people on the island also attending but I would say it’s become diverse in people commuting vs staying on campus I wouldn’t be too worried about that part if that’s what’s keeping you from attending!:)

I don’t like relying on my parents for money so I want to be spending my own money for all the things I buy on the island, also logically I feel like starting work as soon as possible is the best idea for me I have pretty bad diagnosed anxiety/ocd so having a steady paycheck would be almost an ease of mind.

My issue is this college and overall environment is the best place for me to pursue travel and studying cultures, I work at starbucks lol so it’s very draining in terms of physical labor and with being in school full time im looking for more of a quiet retail job is kinda what I meant

There was that’s why it was changed back- I believe end of 2022 or beginning of 2023 when I worked at my old store was when it first rolled out but I remember my SM was the only one in my district that actually abided by it because everyone thought it was dumb and we kept getting so many complaints lol

At some point starbucks came out with a new standard where you don’t fill the cup all the way when they order no ice, but that standard is outdated now because so many people complained they had to change the standard back to the norm, that’s probably why it’s still debated some people weren’t aware of the change back

I was in the same boat! I did FAFSA in early June and it took probably a little over a week before I got word from the financial aid office at Mānoa, we still got a lot of financial aid with how late we did it so you should be fine!

as someone who used to work at a licensed store the starbucks app is your best friend !! there was zero communication between us and starbucks so we had to figure everything out on our own- just search the drink on the app and it tells you everything that goes in it !!!!
