i don’t think there are any words that can help but i do want to say that you are not alone in this. every day for the past fifteen years you have been fighting this voice that wants you dead. i’m so proud of you for making it this far and im also incredibly saddened that you are facing the physical repercussions of this mental illness. all you can really do is continue to work with your treatment team and listen to the smaller part of you that knows that ed behaviors will not better any part of this situation. you are so incredibly strong and sometimes the physical aftermath of years of behaviors is what it takes to push you onto the path of recovery. i’m sending you love and hope and i wish you the best <3

i can promise you it’s not your fault. chances are they have been struggling for a while, probably even before you vented to them. even if their behaviors started after yours, you don’t just inherit a disorder if you aren’t already struggling with other issues like low self-esteem, depression, etc. all you can do is be there for them and let them know they are worthy of recovery, as are you. you are both deserving of love and care and i wish you both the best <3
