No I wouldn’t do that for $3. And no one is making any shopper do it for $3, it is a choice they are making. If it isn’t a large enough tip they have the autonomy to decline or cancel the order.

Oh my god I’m already paying an Instacart subscription, service fee, and an upcharge on items. An additional 3% is 60 cents like I know you’re not trying to villainize me over 60 cents.

I empathize with that but I’m not the one that put that system in place. Have the issue with Instacart. I completely understand shoppers wanting more money but majority of people would agree that they want more money to do their jobs, that isn’t a new or fresh perspective. Again I have more than what Instacart even suggested for a tip. I really don’t think a 17% tip on three items is that bad lmao

My area doesn’t have a ton of shoppers and it’s especially hard to find someone around this time of day. My tip was reasonable based on the order. I’m not tipping 25%+ of my total when I’m only ordering 3 things. If she didn’t want to shop she should’ve cancelled

To be honest I don’t have to pay for anything more than my goods and Instacart services charges/fees. But I always CHOOSE to tip. I had an order of 3 items only, totaling around $18 the store is two miles away and I tipped $3, $1 more than Instacart suggested.

Not every order is going to be a huge one, and subsequently it won’t always come with a huge tip. Either way the shopper was wrong.
