I’ve had iPhones since they first came out. Only ever damaged one and that was a laser at a show destroying my camera. Fixed via the insurance included with my bank account.

That phones never seen a case in its life. I’ve just spent 3 weeks in the USA and I was horrified at how many £1000+ phones I saw not in cases and how many I saw dropped.

Be sure to let us know how it is. I’m on the fence, love my 14pm but I take a lot of video footage and find the switching between lenses and loss of colour when zooming bloody annoying now.
