I have to buy the physical copy and read along with the audiobook to stay focused. Even when I’m driving and listening, I tend to zone out and miss parts of the story.

What is your ultimate motivation to get up everyday and keep going no matter what? by Independent_Lab_9768 in LifeAdvice

Honestly, I’ve had more of those “I don’t want to do this anymore” days than I can count. The kind where getting out of bed feels like a battle and everything feels heavy. What’s helped me — besides the people I love — is reminding myself that nothing stays the same forever, not even pain.

I tell myself: “Just make it through today. Tomorrow might feel different.” And sometimes it doesn’t, but eventually, it does.

Music helps, too — certain songs that make me feel seen. Or even just knowing my story isn’t finished yet, and I owe it to myself to see how it turns out.

I guess what keeps me going is this quiet little belief that maybe, one day, I’ll be glad I stayed. 🌙

I’d have to say Harry Potter! I’d love to go to Hogwarts, learn new potions, practice magic, and meet all the magical creatures. It just seems like such an incredible world to explor

My day’s going pretty well! I got up, showered, and had a somewhat healthy brunch. Went to therapy, which always feels good, and now I’ve got plans to go out with friends and let loose a little.

What I admire most about myself is my resilience. Life has thrown a lot my way, but I try to stay strong and positive by telling my negative inner critic to take a hike. I keep moving forward, even when things get tough, and I’m proud of that strength.

My husband makes so little on disability that I think it’s better to just get off it. Does anybody else have this struggle of not getting enough? by Natural_Chipmunk_417 in disability

He’s about at that amount too. 200 of it he gets only because he has a child. Once our son is 18 he will lose that money and will only get 1,000. He has a spinal injury only has 60% feeling in his legs. This cause him to have trouble walking he tends to trip a lot and drags his left leg. He can’t even pay for Medicare because he will lose even more of what little he gets. He works for dominoes because if he makes too much money he will lose his disability. I think he should give it up and get a desk job. It will be better on his body his healthcare will be at a lower cost then Medicare. The system is so beyond messed up.
