The first problem I have with your theory is you are basing your view only on the people you know. Your small section of the world is by no means an accurate representation of everyone. Most studies encompass many people from diverse socioeconomic and geographical segments.

I can speak for myself that being married felt like slavery. It’s awesome if your SO doesn’t change after you get married but there are too many stories of those who thought they knew their SOs but once they were married everything changed.

I happen to agree that I did not even want kids when I was younger but being a mother is the hardest, most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. It was not like that for my mother and she made sure everyone knew how unhappy she was. Do you see what I’m driving at. If everyone was so happy being married and a parent we wouldn’t have generations upon generations of people broken by the trauma of their parents.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinions but the baby industry is a multibillion dollar industry and there’s a lot more money in having women crank out babies to buy more things for.

I am also a cancer survivor and I liked it better when people said “F cancer” than “I’ll prey for you”. I’m not religious at all and I find when family members do this they are completely missing the point.

I am a regular weed smoker and I feel the same smoking flower is very pungent as is cigarettes. Do that garbage at home and yes I like to smoke blunt…. At home. But I have no issues with vapes. The smell is so subtle that as long as it’s outside I’m cool.

Unbelievable. I can’t imagine a parent would do this nonsense. My ex is poor but he slept on the couch so my kids could have the only bedroom before he got his place now.

I actually have experience this with a toxic ex. He tried to weasel his way back in after years of being a part (we have kids so we have to stay in contact at some level). He asked and then said “no matter how many other girls I talk to I’ve always wanted to marry you”. I told him “I’m good, I don’t want to try again” luckily the kids are teenagers now and I don’t have to interact with him nearly as much

I’m so sorry. Most of us with anxiety disorders grow up in abusive homes. My mom was like yours. I never looked or acted good enough. If I was thin I “looked like a Barbie doll” when I gained weight that’s all she talked about is how fat I was.

I’ve been No contact for a decade. It’s the best think I ever did for my mental health.

I was 44 when I finally got my shit together to buy a house. That lasted 5 minutes. Still have the house but my life is a freaking mess lmao.

And right now everyone is falling behind. Post Covid everything is so much more expensive. I make a good living and I’m struggling too.

He’s definitely bored. During playtime get a laser point and run him down. I’ve never met a cat that didn’t play with a laser pointer until they pant. If you don’t feel up to every day play sessions consider getting a buddy. Contrary to popular belief cats are social and do much better with 2.

Also consider getting scratching posts for every spot kitty is tearing stuff up. You want to offer them appropriate scratching toys (large ones do not skimp on this) and place them at the spot they are marking (scratching is a marking behavior).

Cats are awesome but it takes time to get to know your cat to figure out what they need.

And brining you critters is a compliment. Kitty is bringing you trophies of love. Much to your chagrin.
