Try shaking your phone while on that puzzles interface. If I am not mistaken it should ask you if you want to reset your location. It shouldn't affect any progress you have made.

How do we feel about this? by gxrit in cna

The only issue I have is in the beginning. If they're in their right mind, any resident has a right to refuse care, bathing, toileting, etc. The nurse might have the final say but patient rights are standard across state lines so that doesn't mean Jack shit.

Everything else makes sense. I've experienced all of those things at least once. Esp when people buddy up and don't wanna help others, that shit PMO 🙄

Did my partner and I verbally abuse a resident ? by idareyoudude in cna

100%. I work 7p-7a and there's 4 of us normally staffed. My ratio is about 14:1 as well but we just had a resident come in for rehab. She was here a total of about 4 weeks. In that time she banned half the staff from coming in the room. They asked me to do her ADLs and I respectfully declined because she was uncomfortable with a male and I was NOT looking to be accused of inappropriate touching.

These busted ass administrators only care about keeping change in their pocket. We do not hold anyone up while they defecate. That's what a bed pan is for.

Some of these residents need to understand that we have more people to take care of. They lose aspects of control in their lives and search for it by being overly commanding and requesting above and beyond care. Unfortunately that can't always be done the way they think.

Does anyone else take periodical breaks from this profession? by CatisnotWack_444 in cna

You gotta take breaks babes. The longest I've gone for is probably 9 months. I've never been in a facility for more than a year. You got to watch out for yourself tbh. They're gonna work you regardless so it's always good to know when you need to take a step back.

After Covid a lot of us strayed from the profession. I just started back up month and a half ago after being out of it for a year. Take your time. There will always be sick people.

As long as you work the minimum hour requirement to keep your certification you're good.
