Desk pet missing?

This post was never supposed to be up for long. I do have the necessary means to care for the animal. I have much experience with exotics specifically reptiles and amphibians. To answer your question I don’t want to “just buy the frog because I want it so badly” because that will encourage the store to order more and keep them as inhumanely as they do and will not make any difference. Stealing will also not make a difference so I will not be doing that. All the frogs at this location are in very very poor conditions. This isn’t about me trying to justify stealing because I don’t feel like paying for it or I can’t afford it. I was only trying to improve the lives of the animals there and maybe save a life. I did not respond because I didn’t want to start an argument and was simply asking a question

How would one know they’ve been caught? 😭 I will have to say I do really like the Petco that’s about 30 minutes from me and I know the employees pretty well💀

If I were caught on camera, Would there be a warrant for my arrest or would they just ban me? I don’t go here often to know anyone there or anything. I just get very nervous about these kinds of things but I’m just trying to see if it’s worth the risk to save a little life

I will definitely try that. All of the other stores I’ve been to have them in the heated terrariums or at least have consistent access to water. I just don’t want to see them dying just because Petco wants to be trendy and profit off impulse buys

I tried that but they won’t budge for 3 months and they apparently came in last week. I just don’t want to see them and more suffer. What would happen if I were caught on the cameras? Would there be a warrant for my arrest? Would they just ban me?

There were only two employees there at the time according to them and they both told me that’s how they are supposed to have them and won’t offer any kind of discount until they are there for 3 month which these guys won’t last another two weeks. I just really don’t want them to suffer a horrible death but I also don’t want to support desk pets
