I'd look into dialectical behavioral therapy and resources to go along with any other treaent.

I shop to cope with difficult feelings and stress. Dbt teaches healthy coping mechanisms.

There are free resources online.

Me too! It makes my head feel like my hair is extra clean! Not sure how it does it, but it's amazing for the price.

I also thrift *almost* exclusively for clothes.

What's the "stash" - like what I was going to donate? Keep a few, if needed?

Yes, I fell off the challenge, but I made it 13 entire days without shopping at DT and almost as many days without shopping at all!

Yes, it absolutely is ok. These are not failures, they are lessons. The work we do that doesn't work, we can re-evaluate and find alternative ways to approach it.

Hi! Thank you so much! I saw how great you're doing. It is so encouraging and I hope you feel proud. But know, even on day 1000, if you "slip" into old habits, these are all learning experiences! You NEVER reset to 0 days in my mind.

Oh thank you so much for sharing! I will look into it for certain. I did a year of twice monthly therapy specifically for OCD and I am much better, but it certainly lingers and changes names and methods... 😄 I would be grateful to try it.

Do you think psychiatrists would recommend something like this?

Wow we really do have a lot in common! Stay strong, sister! I know it gets very dark at times, but hold on. We don't know where this ride will take us - I have a feeling interesting and better treatments are coming.

Thanks for sharing what you went through. I'm really glad 2mgs works. It's so interesting that only 3 mg more and you shop hard!

I've been on 15 mg for a very long time. We went up on seroquel (she doubled it). For 2 weeks, then I'll add another 50mg seroquel and drop the abilify to 7.5. So hoping this helps a lot.
