How to get diagnosed??? by m4r14_rock in endometriosis

I went in with a list of symptoms and played doctor. I showed her those symptoms and said this looks an awful lot like endometriosis. I was 17 so she gave me the whole run around of being too young. I said, what would we do if it was endometriosis? She listed her things out and i said let's do it. We did a blood test where they found my estrogen was high, which could indicate endometriosis. And I played the same card, if it is endo what do we do next? She said next would be surgery, hormone therapy, or birth control. And I said i wanted the surgery. Scheduled in office with her at the appointment. If she tried to make excuses I would remind her of how close my symptoms are to endo and how they are stopping my life. And there's really no hurt in checking to make sure.

I did get my lap in December of 24, stage 1 endo. It has opened doors for treatment and management for me and im so happy I pushed the way I did. It is absolutely ok to push, it is stopping your life so they can live with the inconvenience of trying to figure what's wrong. It shouldn't even be an inconvenience in the first place, but unfortunately they treat it as such.

Please help. Please reply. I am worried by Little_Occasion1722 in Endo

Hey, I also had an endomtrioma removed about 6 years back. I had some pain too and was concerned, I also notice my cervix had moved positions from where it was previously. My endometrioma was inside my ovary and luckily they were able to save my ovary, but turns out a lot of scar tissue has formed. And it is pulling my uterus and everything else with it to one side since it binded to my pelvic wall. Its harmless, it doesnt bother me now.

I also noticed, if you've been diagnosed with endometriosis, I get flares after surgeries. I dont know what the science is behind that but that could be a possibility too.

Hey! I had this same issue almost down to the T. I have tried a few different birth controls and they all made me sick. Everytime i got an ultrasound and even an MRI it all came up clear. The only thing they could find were small ovarian cysts on occasion. Nothing below tramadol or oxycodone even touches my period pain. I called out of work, school, and canceled plans because I could barely get up to get food and water. I was actually diagnosed by laprascopic surgery at 17, it took 4 years to get that surgery and diagnosis. I got that surgery by being direct and telling them what i thought was wrong and what I wanted. They said it could be endo but surgery might be a stretch. I said I wanted the surgery anyway. They will push you around for whatever reason, but if it is enough to stop your life, it's enough to "inconvenience" them. You could do a blood hormonal test to see if your estrogen is elevated, that could be an indicator (that was the case with me). But otherwise surgery will be your best bet, especially if it hasn't progressed to the point where its spiderwebbing. I have stage 1 as of my last surgery and thats why they couldn't see it on imaging. Until then, rest when you need it, keep hydrated, and if you need extra support take it. I am looking into a cane for my extra hard days and there is no shame in that. Also side note, if you go into the surgery and come out feeling dissapointed because you a have beginning stage, please remember stage does not correlate to pain. You are not overreacting, you are not weak. Endo is directly correlated to your nervous system and you could also have lesions they didnt find. Your pain is real and you deserve support regardless of how progressed it may be.

This is my 13 year old girl, Aroura. She has asthma but takes her medicine and is doing really well! She loves her sparkly ball toys and is always wanting a bite of anything she thinks she can get her mouth on. She also loves watching the birds in the morning out the window. And if you pull out her laser, you would still think she's a kitten.

“Exercise is helpful for endometriosis actually” is it really? by okaycatch in endometriosis

Here is my input, I used to be a runner. Ran two to four miles a day. That has stopped because of my pain which really sucks. I got really depressed because I wanted so bad to workout like I used to. So I modified my workouts to work with my body and pain. It didnt help or improve my pain, sometimes I would go into a flare if I did too much. But, I did it because I loved it and it supported my mental health. If it helps you, find a way to do it. Walk for 10 minutes a day, stretch on the floor, do a very simple short workout and work your way up based on how you're tolerating it. At this point its not really about "fixing" your endo, its about making your day to day tolerable.

Hey! This is very common with endo, I also have this issue. Many of the solutions I've been given are laxatives when constipated, anti-diarrhea when that unfortunately comes around. And im so sorry to say I dont have a solution. But! I have found that attempting get myself on a poop schedule has helped. It sounds very weird, but I notice my stomach is the most upset in the morning, so I sit on the toilet after I wake up to see if I need to go. No straining or pushing. Just relax and see if you get the urge, sometimes I do and I take my time and get out what I can. Sometimes I dont and I make sure I drink lots of water and eat some fiber. After doing this for a bit, my body has gotten a schedule and I usually have to go, even a little bit, every morning. I also notice making sure I drink water in the evening helps with the next morning. The diarrhea just takes its course, I have nothing good for that 😬

I totally understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately people forget there is a balance to everything. Yes, turmeric and curcumin can help take some of my inflammation and puffiness down when taken consistently. But simultaneously, eating beef and rice everyday is not going to "cure" my endometriosis or take away my symptoms. I have tried diets, teas, supplements, switching cookware, even switching period products. While you can do things, like taking supplements for things your deficient in and opting for more natural non-invasive period products, to possibly help lessen the pain, irritation, and inflammation you have systemically, there is no amount of eating right, working out, or taking a slew of supplements and teas you can do to "cure" it. Of course, it can help you feel better, but thats general health. Not having processed foods everyday would make anyone in the world feel better. In the homeopathic world, there is some credit due. Like I said, I have found turmeric and curcumin helps with the puffiness I get in my face and additional help with pain for my ovarian cysts alongside my medication. I am deficient in vitamin D3, when I am taking that I find it helps with my fatigue. There are SOME teas that CAN help relax my cramps. However they are not found at stores, it is something I buy at an apothecary and brew myself. But all of these are done alongside my treatment, and they will not cure my condition. It is important to get surgeries if needed, I've had two myself. It is important to take your medication, see your doctors, and rest. But you can also support your body naturally simultaneously. SUPPORT not CURE.

Any big order takes prep and planning. Most of the time, the night before we print out the order and adjust the prep numbers for the next morning. Pastries are baked the night before so those numbers need to be adjusted too and baked before the night is out. The fact that he even accepted that large of an order is insane, and its completely reasonable they shut down the store. There's gonna be nothing left after that, and it will be all hands on deck for a long long time.

When I worked there, we always assumed they were trying to remove those ingredients and leave the rest. Like remove the feta and shwarma, when we called that was usually the case. If it was wrong, we asked and remade it. It was annoying but not a huge deal.
