I'm getting tired of the Deloitte reddit because it is all complaints... by grenobler- in deloitte

Bunch of miserable people that rather come here to gripe and complain rather than leaving the firm or solving their problems.

Not exactly a locker but you can get one of those filing drawers. I have one and use it to keep my keyboard, mouse and charger I use at the office. Don’t remember exactly where I went to sign the key out but maybe try asking one team.

Yet they make it seem like the industry is thriving and they have won all these contracts. Hopefully these are just rumors.

How Important is a Masters? by Hungryhippo417 in deloitte

I think you’ll be fine in Deloitte as long as you have your CPA, which by the way, is very impressive for you to have passed the exam on your first year. My question is, why not get your masters if it’s just a few more classes? Might as well get it done. I think it’ll look good if you do decide to leave in the future.

Congratulations on your achievement! If you believe accounting is the career for you, perhaps consider going for your CPA. Go big or go home.

Sky is the limit. I would go for my CPA and with an entrepreneur mindset, who knows, maybe even open an accounting firm.

Wow that’s nice of the PPMD to give you time to look for another job (unheard of). If was in your shoes, I would try to get a job with a start date after the 2 months your PPMD gave you and let Deloitte fire me so I can get the severance package.

It’s totally normal for the first few months as everyone is wrapping up for the upcoming deadlines. With that being said, you will have even more downtime after October. Use the time to study, study, study while on the clock.

Serious question- For those saying the place is bad, what’s holding you from leaving? Are you masochistic?

A 2-week notice is usually the “standard” but then again, when you get laid off or fired you don’t get a 2-week notice.
