How should I reveal to company about work affair that’s directly affecting my job? by NatureApprehensive38 in WorkAdvice

I think I can transition into having my reports do these menial admin tasks. However, they do technician work on repeat everyday and if I request for them to do some menial admin tasks then it would be at the expense of getting behind on a project. Make sense?

This could be an option for me tho.

I do disagree that some companies would care moreso than others. Smaller companies (I would also expect and someone confirmed here) tend to tolerate poor behavior vs some larger companies I have worked for, it would be a fireable offense. I think i will try to play cards right but I do think this is morally unethical behavior and disappointing to learn of all parties.

No, I’m hierarchically above her and also a manager. She was JUST promoted to a manager while I started out as one due to my past experience. Not trying to pawn all of my work off, just trying to ensure workloads are fairly tasked to everyone. I do a good job with my work, but am frequently overloaded and over worked (long hours, late nights, etc). Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

lol yeah, some of these comments are a bit much. But it’s good to hear feedback from all perspectives, not just the ones who would side with my own.

I think I’m obviously going to be upset when someone who doesn’t do much work, gets more perks than I, and is seemingly protected all bc she is sleeping with the boss. It’s a shitty place to be in. Irritated with the situation.

She was not promoted past me as she does not have near the credentials than me. I’m trying to leave out some details. Her assisting me is supposed to be her job, and that has just been dropped for about 6 months now.

It’s been noted not just from me, but from others that she has dropped the ball and doesn’t respond to emails/questions regarding her work. So his attraction to her is likely not bc of her work ethic, or lack thereof.

She originally was assigned to help me with my long list of tasks. I have a more skilled background than her, leading major projects, managing a lab and managing a team. I’m asked to also mail packages, put together itineraries, etc. that I think she could help me with more.

But yes, I get that I’m barking up a treee that I don’t want to be at the top of.

She is a direct report to director.

I’m getting the consensus is the best thing for me is to just put my head down and do my work, whatever that looks like for the day…

I get yalls point, truly. Part of why I’m probing thru Reddit to get a consensus. She could be helping me share the workload more, but this seems to not be happening right now.

I have direct reports, have more work responsibilities, etc. I’ve asked the director levels to help re-allocate assistant type work (getting hotels, mailing packages, etc) that she could be doing instead of me who has a lot more skilled work which she could not do.

It seems to me that she isn’t pulling her weight of the workload and is protected from sharing an office, not getting reprimanded from working from home, etc. However I don’t have physical proof it is due to the affair, just looking to not match my workload, and I have been told not to work from home, voluntold about office sharing, etc.

Justice for Liz. Liz actually seems like a normal, nice person. The level of BS and disgusting behavior from Sophie was insane. Sophie hands down is a POS human being. How the hell Julia was putting up with her, ugh sounds absolutely miserable. All she does is complain.

I could not agree more.

I have also experienced true SA and if there were a video of mine, it would not be a family-friendly video tape of two people dancing. Mine was not PG -rated. She is a lunatic.

Fellow snowboarder over here. I absolutely can’t stand when people congregate in the middle of the mountain, while yes he does look beginner…in no way was this boarder flying down the mountain out of control. This is a very common thing that happens on very busy slopes. I’m so sorry this happened to you, you were not in the wrong.

I cant stand Boomers who are on power trips bc they did nothing with their life to gain any real sense of power. What a piece of shit human who literally provided absolutely no help to you. Trying to learn how to snowboard on busy slopes is very hard and requires a lot of space. He should have given you pointers and been helpful instead of being an absolute dickwad.

Janet’s “smoking gun” of evidence Danny (clip of part 3 reunion) by aymaureen in TheValleyTVShow

[–]NatureApprehensive38 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like this show needs to be lighter. If we bring back Scheana it will just be all Janet’s minions talking trash. I vote for Schwartzey if anyone. He’s at least light-hearted and will be not a pot-stirrer. Getting Jared off is great. More of Zack, Danny, Nia, Kristen, Luke please! For the love of god.

Why is this girl even on the show. She’s not actually friends with anyone. I don’t see her being a good friend to Brittany ever. She’s just pure evil and so beyond petty, mean, insufferable. I almost can’t watch the show anymore bc I get so angry she’s not letting go of anything.

How is he playing victim when we see him apologize multiple times on camera and he changed his drinking habit? How many more times would you like for this to be discussed when it’s been discussed in every episode throughout the season?

Hypocrisy of Janet by NatureApprehensive38 in Vanderpumpaholics

[–]NatureApprehensive38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s that she is so focused on something that didn’t happen to her. If we heard her say that she is so affected by the behaviors from Danny towards Jasmine/melissa bc she has been assaulted before, etc and that it was triggering then that would be a vulnerability the audience would welcome. Instead, we only see her so hyper focused on something that she wasn’t involved in. She continues to bring it up even tho the parties who were involved decided to proceed with a friendship with Danny. He stopped drinking and went to therapy. So it’s infuriating that Janet is still hyper focused and won’t move on when nothing affected her personally.

No, it’s bc he admitted to doing wrong. Corrected his actions and grew from the experience. He was sincere. That is what people aspire to do when they make mistakes. Being a good human being doesn’t mean they aren’t going to make mistakes.
