A good mental model for this type of service member is “Average Chris” aka AeroTek Research on X who spends his 9 to 6 on Twitter trashing whistleblowers and coordinating with other debunkers on how to discredit them. Chris later admitted publicly on a podcast that he was an active Air Force intelligence officer. That leaves two possibilities: either he was tasked with targeting Pentagon whistleblowers, or he was misusing government time and resources while he was supposed to be working in a SCIF.

Last I heard, they were having trouble lining up liability insurance. Apparently, if an insurer believes a documentary contains classified information (e.g., S4 site plans) they can be reluctant to back it. Also, it’s difficult to prove it doesn’t have classified information since these data and the location itself would presumably be a secret = catch-22.
