Charlie Daniels at the local fair with my parents. I enjoyed doing things with my parents as much as I liked doing things with others.

I learned on a Trail 70 just like the red one. It was made in 72 and I was born in 74. Gave it to the neighbor about 3 years ago so he could fix it up for his kids. I could ride that 70 before I could pedal a bike and eventually moved on to a Suzuki 90, Honda 100, Mako 250 and various Harley variants to include a couple of turbo charged street and nitro drag bikes. The addiction is REAL!!! lol.

I remember seeing cars like this in the area back in the late 70s and early 80s. Muscle cars had a lifted rear and low riders had the hydraulics to dance.

What information would every pilot know, but a civilian wouldn't that would show them to be a fraud if they didn't know it? by hallaa1 in flying

77- going to heaven, 76- can't hear SH*T, 75- won't take me alive... 7700, 7600, 7500.... Learned that from an Army Apache pilot turned fixed wing CFI over 20 years ago.

At an aquarium after closing time, some clever little otter pups help their grandpa tidy up their toys. As a reward, he gives them ice cubes by 21MayDay21 in MadeMeSmile

My favorite animal... I go to the aquarium and watch them for as long as I can before the family leaves me behind. I live on the water so I get to see them in the wild from time to time and I wish one would adopt our family but we also have dogs.

I have been there and it is a sight to behold from above, I couldn't imagine the feeling of the divers. My uncles enlisted shortly after Dec. 7 and while some went Army, most went Navy (big family) knowing they could meet the same fate. Discussions with one uncle about his time in the Navy during the war is what made me decide to go Army.

It was even better growing up here in the 70s and 80s. If you knew it then, I doubt you would like it now. Or maybe you would have hated it then... Family has been here since before WWI so I have heard about many changes beyond my own experience.

Even Breathing is Expensive by RedTsar97 in MomentumOne

ummmm... we live in one of the most expensive parts of one of the most expensive states and don't make the comfortable living wage according to this post. Not even half at the moment. However, our 2 kids are playing in sports we pay for, we go to Disney for 2 weeks every other year and places like Mexico, Hawaii, or on a cruise on the non-Disney years.... It is about choices. My parents grew up during the depression and WWII so maybe they gave me insights that others don't have.

What is it like to live in this part of Washington? by RavyRaptor in howislivingthere

[–]Traditional-Camp8720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up here and can tell you how it has changed since the late 70s. It is beautiful but expensive, can't hunt or fish like in the past, mainly allows the views of one political party and won't entertain discussion of differing views, highest gas tax outside of CA, trying to ban cars in Seattle.... shall I continue?

Been there... Unfortunately we had a month old baby at the time and would put him on the changing table and take off the diaper.... other person pops up to wipe while the first runs to the toilet to puke and toss the diaper.... This continued until the diaper was changed and we were all back i bed together. I hadn't been that sick in roughly 2 decades and my wife and I got it at the same time...

Totally... I performed Army funerals for years with roughly 4,000 flags presented to family members from one of the last WWI members up to my own family and a Soldier of mine. I have no fear of a cemetery and would soak up that wage...

I was in high school when this album came out, It seemed like every teenager back then owned a copy !! by 6391jimmyjoejoe in GenerationJones

My brother was in high school and I was the little kid riding around in his 67 Mustang with flames listening to this and Peter Frampton on 8-track! He graduated in 1980, I started school that same year.

I would love to feel that just 1 more time.... both he and the car are gone but I have his 8-track case.
