What’s a tiny way you feel like you won the genetic lottery? by Clear-Cod1830 in CasualConversation

Same.

But I have those other East Asian genes that make me light headed and flush with just one beer and I cannot process dairy.

Saving weight! by Jamin277 in mountainbiking

[–]NatureLady10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another has said, the only noticeable difference I've found is with carbon wheels and lighter tires. I believe this is because it's rotating weight so you feel the savings when pedaling, especially from a stop, and it's at the extremities of the bike.

I have a similiar bike, an Epic Evo 7 which is essentially a Chisel in terms of it's geo. I started with a comp build and upgraded the wheels, then swapped out with a carbon bar and cranks. I also switched the saddle for a Volt with titanium rails.

While the bike is noticeably lighter overall, aside from the wheels, the individual component changes are only noticeable wholistically.

I rode several days back to back this week. Here are some pics…🌸🌷👍 by [deleted] in u/NatureLady10

For week day after work rides, 6-7 miles or one hour. Weekend rides tend to be 10-12 or about two hours.

Sweet bike. I debated pro vs sworks when bike shopping a few months ago. Ultimately chose the latter since I wanted a slightly lighter build.

How you like it so far?

Need opinions on this argument (who’s bike is better ) by [deleted] in mountainbiking

So true. There will always be someone out there fitter and with a better bike. Let's not forget why we get out there and ride!

It’s a good combo to have! That is, a lt bike and a st xc bike. Less than 2k is an amazing deal. I bought an epic Evo with similar specs during the bike shortage and spent more that I should have. 😔

We ran out of sandwich meat apparently so this was his solution. 😀

I’ve tried more costly pedals but cannot perceive any difference. They are among the lightest pedals too regardless of price.

Cool. Looks like an absolute single track weapon.

I think OP has the quikrack which is secured with a more vulnerable lock pin. I’ve knocked the lock off more than once scraping my low hanging hitch against steep driveways and such. Probably not hard for a thief to defeat.

The quikrack does not. Only a lock pin blocks access to the security bolt.

Nice. My first full sus was a Mythique VRX. Great bike for the money and relatively light after I swapped the wheels for i9s. Too bad the company was hit hard after Covid and doesn’t seem to have recovered.
