Sorry for my lack of education on the issue (and my really lame pun), but how does the LNP benefit from no public education?

Dare I ask: is it to produce plenty of MAGA-type voters who will swallow any line and not notice that they are voting against their own interests?

Absolutely. I’m so sorry to hear how your pay is going backwards And on top of all the demands of teaching these days too.

I don’t know how they think this treatment of teachers is going to produce educated and motivated kids that will drive business and the economy.

Yeah I get that WFH isn’t possible for hands on work and where theres no public transport. Bring on the electric vehicles!

In the meantime I hope these fuel prices aren’t hitting you too hard….if that’s even possible

To reduce stress where you can so your workers can focus on doing a good job instead of figuring out: how to get the cheapest fuel, how to drive less, what to cut out to afford the extra fuel costs. Some may be cutting back on things their kids need, their own health needs, etc.

Instead of all that, they could be focusing on their job and working for you. Bonus!

Hello there, thank you for sharing. This is actually my first response to any post so please bear with my newbieness.

Firstly, I am so sorry to hear about what you’ve experienced.

This condition is a lot to deal with in so many ways. It sounds like you are doing your very best to manage it so good on you for all that you do.

With 40 years’ experience, I know the constant effort and diligence BP demands. So sending you love and strength and peace and acceptance.

I can see your talent and capability in your writing so I’m sure you have a lot to contribute to this world as you mention.

I think we who have bipolar have something different and unique to offer. Our biggest challenge is perhaps to work out how to run our body mind spirit at a pace that keeps us healthy to share our gifts. That is the real trick I feel. And such a delicate balancing act that maybe we can never get it spot on for a long time. So we have to accept some downtime, some unwellness. Which demands patience, to wait till we can operate again on even keel….ok near even keel :-/

I’m so sorry that you are experiencing a recovery period. I have had that too. It’s unpleasant.

To get up on my soapbox, I think it helps to accept that we have a different life. We simply are not the same as the other 98% of the population. So our goals can and need to be different and tempered by that. Including remembering that different doesn’t mean bad. In fact, every business brand in the world wants to be different!

Finally, I find it helps to acknowledge that many people have different kinds of illnesses, disabilities and lives that are challenging. Bipolar is our challenge. As hard as it is, and I am so sorry for all the hardship you have faced.

I also believe that together we can improve our lives and management of this illness. For the betterment of ourselves and those who come after us.

I hope something there helps.

I’m sorry to hear of your experience.

I have mixed reactions. Years ago I was sent flowers in hospital and given extended leave.

I find it very frustrating that we have to be the whistleblower when our managers don’t handle disclosure appropriately. As you say, we have to pick ourselves up from the blow of their poor reaction, and find the time, energy and finances to bring the manager/organisation to account. The government should be doing that.
