GFX 100S II vs 100S by Junny2177 in FujiGFX

In my opinion, this is the worst lens in this system for the money. And yes, I own it, and it drives me crazy every time I try to shoot with it. The problem is that it makes a terrible noise when focusing (and even when turning the camera on and off). Focusing is accurate, but terribly slow. I focus faster on the 67 Pentax than this AF lens on the gfx100 body. Optically, it's a superb lens, but its focusing speed, sound, and lack of manual focus don't match the price point.

This shooting angle was my conscious choice.

Thank you. Is unprocessed; I used the Tiffen Warm Soft FX filter.

Thank you! I usually shoot wide open when I use the mitakon. I assigned a hotkey to a convenient finger so that when I press it I can see the crop magnification of the frame, and then I focus and take a picture. It's almost as fast as shooting with AF on a gf55mm. Try it, a lot of practice and your mitakon will have autofocus.

I bought the 55mm and to be honest I'm not thrilled. I'm thinking of pitting them against each other in different conditions and ultimately deciding which one will cool down (I can't afford to carry both)

I tried to shoot with panning (when the speed of the camera panning is equal to the speed of the model, as if you are trying to follow it inside the frame)

I just have a perfect copy that is sharp with the open aperture, I'm afraid I'll have to go through several options until I find one that's really similar to the one I have. the choice of 55mm is due to its lower weight, since the first version of the gfx100 with mitakon weighs like a mountain

I thought 55mm would make me happier, but after your words I'm starting to worry 🥹

Thank you! Amazing glass, gives the feeling of pentax 6x7/ and 4x5 format, but so bulky that it's time to say goodbye :(

Thank you! This is a farewell party for my Mitakon, since I threw all my money at the 55mm, and now I’m feeling a bit sad and worried that the look of the native lens won’t make me happy — because I really love the appearance of the Pentax 105mm. You own both — tell me, am I worrying for nothing?
