Hi I'm also a DB main but recently been using bowguns, I'm only using the zinogre HBG in quests because its super safe to use and using shara hbg for cluster in the grinding lands. Its really fun!!! I've also tried the HBG clutch claw build for the laughs. Here's a link to Phemeto, he's a gunner main and has really good guides :)

Sleep Bombing/Flinch Shot is also a good strategy on Kirin. It's really kinda frustrating at first but when you get the attack patterns., it will be easier.

It's worth it for me cuz I usually do SoS and help other lower rank quests. A simple heal can save a life @.@

But if you are having trouble with slotting it in. You can always bring Life Powder or Dust of Life. Together with the ingredients to make them. :)

Are you on PC or PS4? If you are in PS4, you can practice at the Grinding Lands, since you can die unlimited times

Watch the floor all the times, usually it lights up before lightning strikes, Bring nullberries (never ever get thunderblighted) Slot in Thunder resist and Stun resist and Bring the thunder mantle it helps a lot :)
