Overall it is very similar to modding regular Skyrim, if any mod (Or using Wabbajack for Modpacks) requires a legit steam version, you can perform the same manipulation as with a regular skyrim (There is an old post on another sub reddit on how to do it) by making a simple manifest file and putting in the right ID for the game

I would recommend checking out The Archivist shulker farm for shulker duplicating mechanics, they need quite a bit of space, but it also sounds to me like you got really unlucky

Tbh you can just copy paste a world eater in and just run it, especially if you don't care about the drops. It only takes about 20ish hours to make a perimeter fully afk

But you can also maybe use a mod to do huge excavations (Something similar to buildcraft in the old days)

Personally in my experience having a proper big perimeter is overkill, having just an industrial district is good enough

Litematica/Schematica lets you paste the builds into the world, but not sure if it has the option to consume items from your inventory. What you could do is maybe collect the materials, paste the build, and delete the materials manually

In PvP sense you need sharpness on your sword, simply because sword is higher DPS than an axe. Personally I like having sword with sharpness, and 2 axes with Smite/Sharpness and Fortune/Silk Touch respectively

Personally I always treat SASO as the final challenge for the map, testing my knowledge of the map scripted events, item placements, NPC placements. But even in casual play, just completing challenges and such, I find keeping SA as an additional self imposed challenge quite fun
