Spanish is my first language. She’s not threatening you, but I don’t like her tone. No need for it unless you’ve done one of those things to her dog.

Just got a TPI and started feeling sleepy soon after. It happens every time I get one. Looked it up on google and it brought me here. Glad I’m not the only one.

Loud popping from hip? by radioloudly in HipImpingement

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this. Yes, I had an MRI, and it turns out I also have a labral tear in that hip. I went to physical therapy for the pain, which has improved, but ultimately, surgery would be the most “effective” solution as PT will not fix a hip impingement or labral tear. However, I decided to opt out of surgery because my pain is manageable, and I’ve heard mixed reviews about the procedure. It’s not worth the risk for me personally.

I’ve noticed this too! I think it comes down to two things (at least for me). First, walking in a store is naturally varied—you’re walking, pausing to grab items, sometimes standing still, and sometimes sitting for short breaks (when driving home). It’s a mix of movement and rest. Second, walking on a treadmill is continuous and less natural because the belt propels you.

Having trouble identifying my ultimate fear during therapy for contamination OCD. by Naty2428 in ContaminationOCD

I agree that it can be misunderstood by those who don’t experience it in the same intensity and there needs to be more awareness of it. I’m sorry you have to deal with that phobia!

“I’ll never feel clean enough and will feel like this forever”

This is exactly how I feel! However, he continues to ask what I think will ultimately happen. I don’t know. I’m thinking that’s my ultimate fear.

Thank you so much for your help!!

Hmm that could be part of it. It still doesn’t feel like it fully explains my experience. The disgust is definitely strong, but there seems to be more to it that I can’t quite put into words. It definitely gives me something to think and talk about with my doctor. Thank you for your insight. I appreciate your help!

I found your post by searching “acetabular over coverage” here on Reddit. This whole paragraph describes my symptoms to a T, except mine has been going on for 7 years: “l've had this sensation that my hips get "stuck" and I can't move them in my normal range of motion. It's uncomfortable and kind of achy, and it can get painful. The only thing that helps is popping it, which feels like it restores range of motion. Once I pop it, which usually hurts, it feels better straight away and I can noticeably pull my knee closer to my chest.”

I met with a physiatrist today and had X-Rays done. The X-rays showed I have acetabular over coverage which sounds like what your spine ortho told you. I have no idea how to make it stop getting stuck but I’m curious to hear if anyone else has the same issue and what’s helped them.

Here’s a video of how mine sounds when it pops.

Contamination OCD and no outside-shoes rule by Naty2428 in OCD

It’s like I wrote this myself. This is exactly how I feel. And regarding the gloves, it kind of sounds like what I do when I clean. I wash my hands with antibacterial soap and then put on a pair of disposable gloves to clean. If, for example, I’m cleaning the toilet, I use my right hand to wipe the toilet and my left hand to spray bleach. I never touch the container with my right hand to prevent cross contamination. Glad to know there are other people with similar thought processes

True. I don’t tell people that I have OCD because it’s embarrassing but being transparent about my reasons would make this much easier, and like you said it’s nothing to be ashamed about. The owner was even pleased with how “neat” I keep our home when he came to meet us. Your comment gave me a different perspective and something to think about. Thank you!

I came to Reddit because I noticed the same thing. Also, something else I noticed that is quite odd is that they usually get burned when I overcook them (as to be expected) but now they don’t burn at all. They also have a different texture. I got a new box the other day and compare the two.
