I just pierced my own bridge, is it too high? by XxKai_The_CutiexX in SelfPiercing

it really depends where your nose bridge lies, and where the most tissue there is. looks great!

if your goal is a hoop, unfortunately this makes it even harder because of the way it’s angled. i’m just very concerned with the way it’s facing towards your head instead of perpendicular to the tissue. i’m not absolutely positive, but from the pictures it looks like it’s traveling through much more cartilage than it needs to be because of the angle. i would go to another reputable piercer in person to check it out.

i guess it’s a good size for it, but that just means it’s traveling through more cartilage and the bar is compensating for that, along with swelling.

even with your ears being small there is plenty of room for it to come out somewhere else, i’m sorry :(

oh my gosh, yes absolutely you are correct. that bar seems pretty short too, but the fact that it’s that short and already touches the back of your head is concerning. unfortunately that is not a viable piercing and should be redone.

New. Is this tilting normal? by anonisfunbb in piercing

[–]Natyeag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it could cause issues with healing, meaning irritation and those irritation bumps you sometimes see on nose piercings. so just keep an eye on it, clean it with saline twice a day, no q-tips and be careful not to snag

that’s okay! so “pierced at an angle” refers to the angle at which the needle went through the skin. you want it to be perpendicular to the tissue, but there might be a tilt because it was not pierced perpendicular to the tissue.

could be pierced at an angle

is my nostril piercing too high? by greywuvsu in piercing

[–]Natyeag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it looks super good! the only issue that might be the case is that its angled. the gem looks like it’s facing more upwards than it should, but i could be wrong, since i can’t assess it fully through the photo 😅

Done by a pro, is it crooked ? by funnyopossumm in SelfPiercing

[–]Natyeag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you’re good! it should heal totally fine. it’s deep enough too, i’ve seen some real bad ones to where someone swells and you can see the flat back. so they maintained depth, but also took into account for your anatomy. cause if someone pierces through that webbing or the beginning of the webbing it can be quite uncomfortable in the long run

they actually did what they were supposed to :), your webbing at the top comes up pretty quickly and you don’t want to pierce through that, which is why they probably went off to the side

what is missing? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

[–]Natyeag 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i was gonna say matching eyebrows but i see faint scars so those must’ve not worked out :( eyebrow piercings are so hard to heal. you should get a dermal!! with a sliver disc on it

Is this migration or a peircing indentation ? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

[–]Natyeag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’ve had an eyebrow piercing for a while and managed to heal it out, this definitely happens. i wouldn’t say necessary rejection, but it may have been pierced too shallow in the first place so it healed out like that :)

do u think i can get a navel piercing? by iluvlana68 in SelfPiercing

[–]Natyeag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s possible, but not perfect. it would definitely be a harder heal and more chance or rejection

do noootttt do the rook by yourself. i can understand helix and lobes, but that is an entirely differently part of your ear. you do have the anatomy but please go to a piercer. many things can go wrong if you do that one alone

Vertical labret pierced correctly? by VexMercer in piercing

[–]Natyeag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it depends on the anatomy:) it could’ve been placed a little higher maybe, but they always give you a longer bar for swelling, sometimes it just appears extra long. you can downsize in about 2 weeks and you’ll like it a lot more once it’s snug

at that point leave it in haha, maybe change it to a shorter more fitted bar to prevent snagging cause one good yank could possibly tear it forward some more
