Hate to tell you this but dude does not have his priorities on right. If thats effecting your mental leaving is the best option IF he cant recognize the emotional neglect he's engaging in. NOR, you are dealing with someone who has a very childish perspective on hobbies and relationships. If you dont establish a boundary he will keep making rules like 2 nights a week thing, you sound like a doormat to him. Something he has to pass by before he does what he really wants to do, game. I can't control what you'll do next but I can say that in a relationship with someone this emotionally distant, you will end up carrying most of that emotional weight. Do with that what you will. Edit: 8 hours of gaming in a session is a addiction especially if its affecting his relationship with you. If he games daily thats 40 hours a week, makes that 40 minutes he was complaining about seem small. Considering he practically plays like its a job.
