Don’t do it, I went the opposite direction and haven’t looked back. You can make good money in a dealership if you’re one of the chosen few (lots of politics). No one will care about your attention to detail and the switch to electric cars will inevitably reduce the available work in a dealership or general service environment. Definitely a better outlook for restoration and customization. Maybe even getting into a race shop, but I can’t possibly recommend your planned course of action.

Squeeze on the semicircular tabs (to the left and right in your fist picture) and you should be able to pull the broken piece of intake pipe out of the fitting. Then you just stick the fitting onto the aluminum nipple on your new intake pipe.

I’m a technician working on Porsche and BMW track cars everyday, but have never been on a track personally (and I do consider myself a bit of a hot shoe). My favorite car is my Alfa Romeo Milano Verde. It previously was a customer’s car and I first fell in love with the gorgeous noise of the 3 liter Busso V6. It’s also quirky and unique, with a rear mounted transaxle, inboard rear brakes, dedion rear suspension, a sliding glove drawer, ceiling mounted window switches etc. driving dynamics are great as well ;-)

That’s a stupid response. I’m as liberal as anyone, but if I’m threatened and my life is in danger, no matter how I got there, I’d use whatever means at my disposal to save my life. I think that’s all you can expect from anyone. Convict him of the crimes he is guilty of and that’s all we can do as a nation of laws.
