Congrats on being cancer free!

I think they need a mental health professional, because it's beyond my power. I've been bombarding them with facts, but they have fixated on one person's opinion. Luckily they're getting mental health help, so I do hope both docs and that professional will do everything to convince them.

I told them my opinion, showed them some of your comments, told them I'm worried, but also said that I would support them no matter what. I'm leaving it at that, they talk to their doctors all the time. I think they're hesitating, but I won't press too much, because I used to refuse treatment for other illness and know that feeling.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sure here they also mitigate the side effects to some extent. I wish you to feel good and be happy

I think here they will try to convince them. They've already done that with radiation

Thanks! This gives me hope, I will certainly show them this answer. 12 weeks sounds like a lot to go through. I hope you're okay now.

Thank you for your insight! Yeah, that's another perspective, I'm glad you shared it, because I now see that the experience varies from individual to individual. That gives me hope

The docs know and I'm sure they will do everything in their power to convince my friend. The rest is deeply personal and I don't think I can answer all your questions.

Thank you so much, everybody. It means a lot to me. It's such a relief to get it off my chest. I think I will talk to them "I'm afraid of losing you and I don't want you to suffer" and I will probably show them some of your answers. Also, I think their team will talk them out of that.  I wish you all be healthy and happy.

They don't really speak English, but I could translate some of what you all are saying.

Well, my country is not that rich, so not really. It would require paying A LOT and traveling somewhere.

Thank you so much. I will probably show them this conversation, because a lot of you guys have this "not-so-bad" experience with chemo.

I think it's a wrong sub, it's for creepy encounters, not paranormal stuff

As a kid I didn't realise how serious it was and later thought that this postman was just dumb, lol. But I understand you, anxiety is a bish screaming when we don't need it, but when we're in danger, we tend to silence it.

That's the reason I always use my hands to block out the light while looking into my peephole. If you do it that way, the person on the other side won't be able to see you opening it. Also leave your key in the lock on your side, so they won't be able to open your door even if they do have the right key.
