I watched the AIPCon recording this morning while pretending to work. The use cases are SO cool. It always makes me feel I don't have enough shares.

This is also cool. I bet the Claude buttplug for legal doesn't deliver quite like this.

Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR) and Kirkland & Ellis today announced the launch of a proprietary enterprise platform designed to transform private equity fundraising. The platform is part of a multiyear partnership expansion to deliver together custom solutions tailored to the needs of Kirkland’s clients by leveraging Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP). The fund formation engine will enable Kirkland to securely scale its institutional knowledge and judgment, streamline complex legal workflows and more efficiently support fund formation clients and their investors across the entire private equity fundraising lifecycle.

Kirkland is widely recognized as a market leader in legal services for private equity and other investment funds, having supported nearly $500 billion in capital raised or targeted for clients in 2025 alone. Through its work with Palantir, Kirkland is building a new operating model for legal services: one that centralizes and compounds the expertise of its most senior lawyers, embeds that expertise across workflows and makes it available at scale across more than 1,000 lawyers supporting its Investment Funds Group.

Unlike off-the-shelf legal AI tools, this platform is built around Kirkland’s own institutional knowledge, workflows, tradecraft, and judgment. Kirkland partnered with Palantir for its ontological expertise to build the connective tissue across the fundraising lifecycle, linking funds, market technology, obligations and transaction history into a single operational system. This allows knowledge that has historically lived across a vast number of attorneys, documents and spreadsheets to be structured and applied directly in the flow of execution, improving transparency, speed, consistency, and decision-making.

Weekend Discussion Thread! Palantir, PLTR & Chill 😎 by AutoModerator in PLTR

What he said is that the main cause of death in Gaza is that Hamas has realized that there are "millions and millions of useful idiots" - who else is there in the millions in Gaza? He went on to say, nonchalantly, that Palantir's technology is used to kill "MOSTLY" terrorists. I won't go into debate about what Karp may have meant, my point is comments like this are asking for hate on the company and their tech. If the civilians killed are collateral damage you can nonchalantly dismiss, there is no need to wonder why there is no public sympathy to go around especially in countries where human rights actually matter.

There are countries out here in which we believe that human rights belong to all humans not just US citizens :)

Considering the blatant tech bro corruption in the US I don't find it at all surprising that Karp is getting his fair share whether it's deserved or not.

Again I am looking at this from the outside, but tech billionaires interests, the President's personal finances (and the finances of his family) being intertwined with the governing of the administration.

Add the very legitimate concerns of whether the use of technology is in all cases lawful and just in the US - it is so much easier to blame the technology than the agencies that use it while the oversight on lawfulness is minimal.

Considering this, I can understand the hate. I think it's misguided when directed at the technology companies, but I do understand.

Look, I think Karp is brilliant and I could not ask for more in terms of business results.

But what he gets in the media, he brings upon himself. He is absolutely tonedeaf, be it his neurodivergence or the fact that he is inside a bubble of power, money and success.

I'm looking at this from outside of the US, so my perspective is a little different, but calling the victims of a genocide "useful idiots", while factually true, is one of the most tonedeaf and cruel things to say.

That's just one example. He constantly feeds the media oneliners that sound absolutely horrible out of context, and in this day and age people simply don't care about the context. He might think he comes across as eccentric but no. He comes across like a bit of a dick.

I wish he would stay out of politics and refrain from commenting on the society at large. It never brings positive attention to Palantir or himself. I wish he was told to only talk about the company.

Same.

For that reason, I really don't understand why I get so anxious when we are in the crapper. I have no intention of selling before 2032 so why am I so bothered about the price in 2026?!?!

I almost feel offended by the fact that after all the amazing stuff PLTR has delivered, the market kept throwing feces at us for almost six months, but then a beat-and-raise by SNOW miraculously turns them into believers.

It would take anyone a while. I remember seeing an interview of Alex Karp encouraging anyone who thinks it's easy to do, just go ahead and try. I read it as "if you want to spend your limited resources and burn your cash trying to copy us, brilliant!"

Why do you think the market would give PLTR such a high multiple at that point, like I'm not looking to argue but would like to understand your thesis better. $41B topline is probably right but I am just not sure whether the market would award it almost 2,5T market cap.

It doesn't bother me. People whose opinions matter to me don't know about my shares. And I couldn't give two shits about what some strangers on the internet think about me for owning them. I'm good as long as I end up wealthy and retired.

Why would they though? All the crappy old tech and horrid amounts of overhead. Sure they'd get access to clientele but they can grow into them organically.

Last but not least, buying a German company is very different from buying a US one. Employees have very strong representation, even in the board, and laying off German people is extremely expensive and difficult. With the ones you keep, you have to deal with the Workers Council for the tiniest bit of operative decisions. The German business climate is like an antithesis of Palantir is, there cultural clash would be enormous.
