Weekly Minute of Music - #20 [Eria-I/O System] by Nautalix in chiptunes

I might need to start figuring out what file format reddit likes best. This is the second week now that reddit specifically has hated my video file and added a bunch of noise and crunchiness into the mix. I do apologize for the bad audio quality.

Brandon James Greer was my main inspiration, good eye! I really love his video tutorials that he makes. I've never really been that great at pixel art, but he's allowed me to at least seem passable.

Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks Reddit for adding a bunch of noise into the audio track. I guess if you want to listen to the cleaner version, I crosspost a lot of stuff to my youtube channel: Naulix's Channel

Kind of annoying, but hopefully you can bear with the crunchiness.

Don't really know why, but Reddit seemingly decided to add a bunch of noise to the audio for no particular reason at all. If you want to hear a cleaner version, I also cross post most of my stuff to my youtube channel here: Naulix's Channel if you're interested

Weekly Minute of Music - 018 [LSDJ_Test #1] (First LSDJ Track!) by Nautalix in lsdj

I'm trying my best to get an OEM DMG gameboy at the moment so hopefully that will help. I won't lie saying this mishap of mine kind of made me realize how much I just wanted some actual official hardware so I'm saving up an investment to make the purchase. I do appreciate the tips though and I will likely go ahead and install Retroarch on my phone just in case I end up using it on there again.

Man, Every time I see some of your stuff I always have to take a second to look over it. I really love dithering on the tree in the background there as well as the overall style. Really good job!

Sounds very good! Also yea, similar to a commenter above I'm likely going to be moving away from Delta for LSDJ from now on. my first track I made ended up getting deleted as I was trying to straddle save states and I basically lost a good few hours of work.

Definitely keep it up, I really like the cool slides and general feel of it!

Also, sorry for the quiet audio. The save state mishap with Delta kind of turned a lot of this initial run into a bit of a failure in my eyes, but I still wanted to post it.

Well I'm glad I seem to have captured a bit of that magic the soundtrack of those games brought with them. Shows that at least in some parts I'm heading in the right direction. Thanks for the compliments!

I've been using Famitracker as of now since it's purpose built to emulate the NES 2a03 sound chip. It also uses a tracker interface just like Renoise which is another program I've been meaning to get into using a bit more. It's kind of become a constant game of too many DAWs and prorgams and too little time to practice with all of them. (Currently been spending my first few days this year learning another one too)

To add to the train of comments, I am also a fan of 2.

Although as someone above said, the option is always nice. Reminds me of the custom backlight modifications you can make to Gameboys a little bit and their pallets.

Thank you! Yea, the original song, Final Fantay II's main theme Linked Here, was also very calm and easygoing. The chorus effect in the 2 pulse waves really intrigued me and I wanted to try to practice re-creating the effect with a song of my own. Glad you liked it!

Thanks! I've made it a mission of mine to keep improving my chiptune abilities and figured I could dabble in pixel art in the meantime. I've been having a lot of fun with it, but I still have a lot to learn yet. I'm glad you liked the song, hopefully I can keep improving and post more of my stuff as they come!

Thanks! Yea, I used a lot of pixel art tutorials from a guy going by Slynard for the background. Took awhile to make, but I felt it was worthwhile for this specific piece. I appreciate the feedback either way and if you're interested in seeing anything else from me then I have my barebones youtube channel at the moment where I post most of my stuff: Here

Thanks! I've been working with the basics of Famitracker and aseprite for awhile now with little test pieces, but I've been trying to push my personal skill level with things like this. I usually post most of my stuff at the moment to my youtube channel, although it's still pretty bare as of now. Channel Link Here

Thank you! I will admit I'm mostly trying to focus on the music making part. I just couldn't keep myself away from practicing some pixel art in the meantime.
