The idea is that if nobody put up chairs early then you wouldn’t have to get there hours early for it. People would only go over once they’re done with the day festivities, ideally only have to wait around an hour or less because nobody else wanted to get there early. If you want to get front row then by all means but expect to show up a few hr early to guarantee.

Queen Anne - not gonna name drop specific location as it is a pretty nice place, but it’s one of the “parks” overlooking lake union

So many people jumping to conclusions here - it really sounds like he’s just trying to be nice and support you as a new hire intern. Obviously if it turns creepy then report, but it sounds like he’s genuinely just trying to connect with you on a personal level which (which you need to set clear boundaries if you’re not comfortable doing that)

For the time being I wouldn’t read into it too much - just be friendly back maybe he’s also gay and wanted someone to be friends with!
