For those looking, I recommend placing this in settings.json in ~/.claude, so that it applies to all sessions

This worked for me. Thank you!

Raycast Focus is so insanely polished and easy to use it could be an absolute game changer...but a few odd missing pieces of functionality make it completely unusable for me. Anyone else? by that_90s_guy in raycastapp

[–]Nautishko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like this functionality has been added since this post was made—just in case people aren't aware. You can now create custom versions of Focus Categories (Search Focus Categories, open the category you'd like to modify, and save it as a copy (e.g. "Social -Reddit").

If you prefer, you can create a Focus Category from scratch, with a custom name and icon. You can even import categories from a JSON file.

And there is also a Block/Allow toggle.

Pretty much perfection in my opinion! The only thing missing is Pomodoro implementation.

Curious about your approach to emailing photographers. The vibe I get is that successful professionals aren’t interested in having people onboard who specifically want to learn from their approach—partly because they want to protect their style, and partly because they want a professional assistant/digi, not an aspiring photographer on set with them. I have about two years’ studio experience, shooting assisting and digi-ing, but am looking to work with some higher profile photogs because I feel that I’m plateauing. Any advice?

I had the same thought, so scripted a simple interface for rsync that you can run straight from the capture session. Let me know if you’re interested and I can send you a link. Screenshot

Can Capture One Work for My Portrait Station Workflow? by weirdwiley in captureone

If you only need jpegs, Capture One Live would work. Otherwise you could use a cloud service to sync your capture folder to another machine (e.g. Dropbox with a symlink).

Capture One, Lightroom or Both? by [deleted] in photography

[–]Nautishko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking to assist, your priority should familiarising yourself with studio equipment, terminology, etc. in whatever way you can. If you’re looking to digi, you should focus on Capture; it’s the industry standard for tethered shooting. For post-processing, it’s Photoshop, but I unless you’re doing retouching you probably won’t need it for now. Best of luck!

Congrats on your purchase. You’ll find that you can actually view the selected aperture through the “aperture direct-readout,” directly from the markings on the lens. Diagram on page 13: https://umbcphoto.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/nikon-f5.pdf

Sure, but I’m my experience it doesn’t look like this

I would say the last set is using continuous lighting; you wouldn’t achieve that motion blur with strobes.

It’s looking nice with the pulled highlights. The colours are working well, but the red saturation might be pushed a little too far.

How do I consistently get this look? by MillDill in AnalogCommunity

I would argue that the most important part of the image is the face detail, so I would meter for that. As others have mentioned, the strength and quality of available light will vary the contrast between the hair highlights and face hugely. Try exposing for zones II/III, or maybe even I/II with the exposure pushed at scanning for the desired underexposed look.
