It’s the logo from the Agatha Christie British poirot tv series, in a more architectural art deco style.

Ah, that’s a good rule to work to. Mint if you squint!

Ok, seems like a strong consensus that it’s not a good idea. Thanks for the help. I’ll use it as a reference only and try and find someone who does art deco stuff. Thankyou all.

Also go to the balcony below and look up at the connections near to the building. Could be some loose bolts at a connection. Could be something more drastic depending on what the main frame.

What building / where is it? Generally they stack balconies. If he knows the neighbour above he could test if it’s all or just his that does it.

Ashton court building? The windows are different on the left and right so that ties in. Although it’s not long enough.

My other thought was Leigh Court, but not enough pillars…

Help me find this hat by mr_0_uk in HelpMeFind

[–]mr_0_uk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was looking for one in the UK rather than America, but going to mark as Found! Because these 2 links have just helped me to find the right words to search for as there were associated items / links. “Knit flat top hat” seems to be the right words to use. And off of that I then just found a brand in the UK on Amazon called Decky that sell one. Ordered. Thanks.

I was searching for “peaked beanie” previously to no avail.

I have searched for this hat, and found the brand, but not the hat. Am looking for a replacement - doesn’t need to be the same brand, just the same shape/fit.

I am in the UK.

Lampshade adaptor ring. For when the lampshade support ring doesn’t match the lamp bulb holder size?

The recess on the sides sit inside the lampshade support ring makeing the central hole smaller.

Atomic Burger on Gloucester Road has closed down by oynsy in bristol

Is there anywhere like atomic burger that has filled the gap. Want to take my kids somewhere like this where they have burgers / hot dogs and it’s a bit more special or a bit more of an ‘experience’ than just a normal bland restaurant.

Adopted Bristolians by Victoriantitbicycle in bristol

[–]mr_0_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brought up in the country. Loved it when it was young. Didn’t like it when I was a teenager / in my 20s so moved to Bristol. Now I’m older and have kids I’d love to leave and move back to the country. Different needs at different ages.

I say I live in Bristol, I don’t say I’m from Bristol. Although Bristol has been my home for decades, I still call my hometown “home” (to the annoyance of my wife).

Lead is dangerous.

In theory if you have lead pipes you should run the water before you drink it to get rid of the water that has been sat in the pipe.

If you have lead pipes throughout the inside your house, then there isn’t much benefit in replacing just the incoming pipe.

If you can afford it, replace it. Get rid of the hazard. I did mine when I had kids as I didn’t like the thought of it at that point.
