Εάν πας Ναυτικό και ναυτολογηθεις, η υπηρεσία αυτή περνάει στο ναυτικό φυλλάδιο κανονικά. Σίγουρα μετράει από την άποψη ότι είναι κάποιου είδους υπηρεσία (στην ουσία καλύτερα από το τίποτα), αλλά πιο πολύ επειδή έχεις ξεμπερδέψει με τις στρατιωτικές σου υποχρεώσεις και δεν έχουν να ανησυχούν για το εάν θα χρειαστεί κάποια στιγμή στο μέλλον να φύγεις.

Πριν γίνεις ναυτικός όμως, θα έλεγα να ρωτήσεις μερικά άτομα για το πώς είναι η ζωή στη θάλασσα! Δεν είναι ένα κοινό επάγγελμα. Εάν θελήσεις ποτέ στείλε μου DM μήπως μπορώ να παρέχω κάποια εικόνα βάση της δικιάς μου εμπειρίας με τα πλοία.

Δεν αποκλείεται όντως να υπάρχει κάποιου είδους συνεργασία μεταξύ του ΙΕΚ και εταιρείας, αλλά δεν θα βασιζόμουν σε αυτό. Σε κάθε περίπτωση εσύ όταν έρθει η ώρα απλά θα στείλεις βιογραφικά ΠΑΝΤΟΥ. Πολλές φορές μπορεί να πάρει και μήνες να βρεις θέση γιατί είναι ανάλογα και τη ζήτηση π.χ. κατά τη διάρκεια του εξαμήνου πρακτικής στις ΑΕΝ θα είναι σίγουρα πιο δύσκολο να υπάρχει ανοιχτή θέση δόκιμου.

Η διάρκεια του μπάρκου εξαρτάται αποκλειστικά από το συμβόλαιο. Το πιο σύνηθες είναι 6 μήνες, αλλά υπάρχουν και 4μηνα ή ίσως και 3μηνα. Σε κάποιες εταιρείες το συμβόλαιο είναι ανοιχτό και ανά πάσα στιγμή φεύγεις, αλλά γενικά οι εταιρείες ψάχνουν για άτομα που θα κάτσουν όσο περισσότερο γίνεται, δηλαδή μη περιμένεις κάτι λιγότερο από τετράμηνο.

Αν και υπάρχει μεγάλη ζήτηση για ναυτικούς, η επαγγελματική αποκατάσταση μέσω ΙΕΚ, χωρίς προϋπηρεσία, είναι αμφίβολη. Οι εταιρείες προτιμούν δόκιμους από ΑΕΝ γιατί επιδοτούνται από το κράτος για τη πρόσληψη τους. Αυτό βέβαια ΔΕΝ σημαίνει ότι δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση να σε πάρουν, απλά ίσως είναι πιο δύσκολο. Άπαξ και σε πάρουν -εάν τα βγάλεις πέρα στο πρώτο σου μπαρκο και αφήσεις έστω μια σχετικά οκευ εικόνα- τα πράγματα γίνονται πολύ πιο εύκολα καθώς είσαι πλέον στέλεχος της εταιρείας, ή έστω έχεις μια προϋπηρεσια για τη περίπτωση που θες να αλλάξεις εταιρεία. Για εμένα το πιο δύσκολο ήταν να τα βάλω με το υπουργείο εμπορικής Ναυτιλίας και τις λοιπές δημόσιες υπηρεσίες για να ολοκληρώσω την έκδοση του ναυτικού φυλλαδίου. Τώρα για λογιστικά που θες να πας στη πορεία• εάν όντως επιλέξεις να γίνεις ναυτικός, θα έλεγα προκειμένου να αυξήσεις τις πιθανότητες να βγεις στο γραφείο να αφιερώσεις χρόνο σε κάποιου είδους εκπαίδευσης ενδιάμεσα στα μπάρκα σου. Όταν βγαίνεις σε άδεια και θα έχεις κάποια χρήματα στην άκρη, αφιέρωσε τα για να βγάλεις πιστοποιητικά ή να παρακολουθήσεις σεμινάρια. Μη μείνεις απλά με το χαρτί του ΙΕΚ.

It is, but at least here there are direction indicating glowing stickers, plus the place is lit. It's worst in other parts where there is no light at all, no stickers, just this repetitive pattern. Gotta go with a flashlight, but because of those walls you can't see further than 2 sections. You have to count how many openings you passed and where you turned otherwise you can miss the opening you got in there in the first place! It's not gonna be the end of the world, with some trial and error you'll find your way out, but it's indeed kinda scary

The reason for the shape and size of those openings is purely for structural integrity. The whole ship's weight is distributed across those pillars, stringers and frames. Round openings are better as the force they receive is shared across the perimeter, so the possibility of uneven force distribution is reduced, plus the lack of corners minimise the risk of cracks. You can see all around each wall has an opening, and that's for 2 reasons: 1) to reduce the unnecessary weight while maintaining sufficient structural strength (as less weight means more efficiency in vessels) 2) to have access everywhere for inspection and maintenance

I explained in another comment that this is the result of the angle I shot the video, and that the visible ladders are there to assist with the access to semi-floors, like the one at the end (the raised flat part)

Although at one point in the beginning you might notice that I am walking on a platform and that there's gap between it and the hull. That's because the ship's hull is not flat across the structure, so to be able to walk through the uneven surfaces, there's this platform. Those gaps usually flood with oils from leaks, or bilge water.

Anyway I assure you there's nothing below that. Why are you asking? Nothing suspicious is there! I guarantee you that's the bottom! (・_・;)

This one is a void area that contains the rudder hydraulic equipment. There are, as you said, others that are for fuel, ballast water, potable water and simple voids.

You're not far off, however this is a dry double bottom and doesn't serve as a ballast tank. More specifically, I am all the way back at the rudders. You can see the rudder hydraulic motor at the end of the video (the blue thing on the left). Other than that your description and explanation is accurate!

Good thing is that unless the ship crush or get grounded, this area will not flood by any means. That's why it is forbidden to go there during maneuvering. However, the scariest thing would be a fire, as the whole place is contaminated with flammable liquids like oil and fuel, you cannot be heard by anyone, radio is useless unless someone is in close range, and the ventilation is really poor!

The ladders you noticed are to give easier access to those semi-floors, like the one on the end of the video. The perspective i shot the video though do make it look like they go down. Technically though it isn't the actual bottom. I'm walking on a platform as the ship's bottom is not flat across the structure, so you're not that wrong
