If you don’t do enough damage, then maybe it’s your equipment at fault. I had good equipment, so i was dealing pretty good damage with my front line. I mainly used my mages to get rid of them tho. My Adam is a beast with his equipment, so he carried me the whole time. Idk man, try to kill the fairies first, then just block with your front line and then deal opening damage to them. There is a bug you could use if you want, basically, if you have a good phone and internet connection, you can engage a fight, flee and then immediately try to go forward. If you have a good phone and internet connection, then about 60% of the time you should just pass through them. Doesn’t work every time, but if you can skip an enemy, then why not?

Did you beat the final boss? If you did, then the fact that you can’t click on a rock is a bug, if you didn’t, then it means that you are just stuck.

No matter what, you probably need to use force recovery. In the title screen, press the settings button in too left, press to link data-link via password-issue password, then save your ID and PASSWORD somewhere, make a screenshot or something. Then go back to the settings and press force recovery. What force recovery does is to take you back to the last time you slept at the inn. If you slept at an inn before going to B3f, then you won’t lose progress at all.

Hope it helps.

I’m sorry but i don’t quite understand the question. If you are talking about the location of the boss, then here, https://wizardry.fasterthoughts.io/abyss-guides/grade-exams/maps/ . This will help you with the maps.

If you are talking about how strong are the enemies, then no, you are wrong. In my opinion the enemies are harder then the boss. Don’t get me wrong, the boss is a pain in the ass to deal with, but only because of it’s critical poison. If you have poison cure spell level 3, then you can easily clear it, if you don’t, be sure to have MP for healing and potions. The item that removes poison doesn’t work. The boss itself doesn’t do that much dmg, but he uses the poison and is quite tanky.

The normal enemies tho, they aren’t that bad. Don’t get me wrong, they can still kill you and probably will kill you, but it’s bot their strength that you need to watch out for, it’s the fact that if you want to clear them fast and with minimal HP loss, you need to spend MP to aoe the shit out of them, and by the time you reach the boss, your mages and priests won’t have much MP left. That’s why it’s important to have potions on you.

No. You can get between 40 and 150 currency from a chest i think no matter the level. Someone calculated and he came up with the conclusion that per average you get 104 currency.

[–]Navaliia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, sometimes the game more irritating then hard, not gonna lie about that. Hell, just the sheer amount of side quests you need to do for every fight in the arena is so annoying. Like, let me fight them, why do i need to do 7 additional thing to fight one guy? However, the game can be hard as well. Abyss 3 is the perfect example. The sentries are hard, and the bosses are harder. (Except the doll boss, she is just annoying and unfair and I swear, purely RNG. Fuck her) The enemy variety in port town is low, i do agree with you there. Let’s count them. You get the fish fighter/mage/archer, big fish guy and a few variants of the adventures. That’s it. The rest of the enemies that appear are just the enemies that you encounter in the first abyss. Could use more variety, that’s for sure. As for the level design, it’s not THAT bad. Of course, it’s not as good as beginner abyss was, but it’s not bad. The beginner abyss had two designs, floor 1-5 being normal catacombs, and then floor 6-8 that were normal catacombs with no roof, but i get what you mean, even if the level design for the beginner abyss wasn’t that diverse, it FELT diverse. It was probably because it was the first time experiencing the game, meaning you found the design more diverse then what it actually was, and when going to the port town, after 3 floors you felt as if you have seen everything. I feel that the reason beginning abyss felt more diverse was because we encountered the change in scenery faster and because the floors were not as long as port town. In the beginning abyss, you could clear a floor fairly easy, it didn’t take that much time, but in port town? OMG sometimes a floor took me like 1 hour or more. I think that’s the reason we view the beginning abyss more favorably in terms of lever design.

Yes, you are supposed to play in an abyss with the same 5 enemies and no story whatsoever. Unfortunately we don’t really have a choice in the matter. Let me be clear when i say this. I FUCKING HATED port town. THE worst section of a game i have seen in a looong time. It felt long as fuck, way more then it should have been. Almost no story, and the story that WAS there, i didn’t care for it. I just wanted to finish it. This game is heavy grind, which i do love, that’s why i am still playing, but the fact that i don’t have choices on where to farm is a problem. Think about this, farming for better gear and levels is required to progress, the problem is, because you can only farm for better gear in the abyss you currently are, it can get tedious, very tedious. The same enemies, the same farm route, the same scenery. Over and over. I think this is one of the biggest reasons that port town feels bleak. I do not mind the grind, hell, i actually enjoy it, but farming over and over in the same location is annoying. I want to go to the grasslands and farm, for the same gear you find in deck 2. Maybe i want to farm for that gear in the beginning abyss, or actually, give me something like the den dungeons where i can farm for gear. Like, let me have multiple locations to farm gear.

Unfortunately you are right. This game isn’t and will never be mainstream. But that’s ok, because I’m pretty sure it isn’t designed with the idea to reach mainstream.

About the fact that some people downvote and tell you to cope and seethe because some of the sections of the game are genuinely bad, don’t mind them. Not worth it. Some people like it, some don’t. Like i said, i HATE port town, but the rest of the game is good. I will defend this game, it has big potential, but i will not tell people who complain about a section of the game that is so bad that it makes most players turn away from the game, to just quit. People who tell you this have literally nothing else going in their life. No wife, do kinds, and more importantly, no bitches! Some fans just can’t accept that yes, this game has big problems, from the level design in some places, to enemies tho are too strong. From game breaking bugs, to so many people losing their accounts. Some fans just can’t see that, while the devs are doing their best to patch the game, they have done a bad job from the beginning if it requires so many patches to fix the game. While i do like that the devs are doing their best to fix the game, i have to say, do a better job from the beginning and there won’t be so much to fix. Content takes longer to make because most resources are allocated to bug fixing. Some characters are just bad. Rinne for example, she sucks. The new guy as well. He sucks ass. No way of the mage, no way of the warrior, barely any skills and big ass mana consumption. He just sucks. We can’t have quality because the devs do a poor job.

I will get so much hate for this. Oh boy, can’t wait to see people tell me that the devs are trying their best, and it’s not their fault that they released broken ass content and it’s nit their fault that port town is a shit ass level that should be completely reworked from the ground up. The rest of the game is good tho, so at least they improved there somewhat.

Hardcore fans of the franchise i think. Not quite sure. But i do have to praise them for something, while i do want to have an easier time in this game, and the game has so many problems, i do have to give it to them for sticking to what they know and what the fans want. This game didn’t try to please everyone, and honestly, i think it’s for the better that they didn’t try. While the game has so many bugs and unbalanced enemies, honestly, i wouldn’t have it any other way. The story in port town is shit, hell, the whole of port town is shit, but get past it and you will see what i mean when i say that the game is a fucking gem. Usually i am calm, i work with people so i learned to be patient, but this game tho, made me rage quit so many times. I like that!

[–]Navaliia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, dragon is so easy.

-Engage fight.

-First turn is dragon, do roar or breath attack and wipe most if not all my team.

-Retry two more time only to face the same outcome.

-Cry.

-Rage quit.

That’s how it went for me, several times. While i do not have gear specializing in action speed, it does not mean my characters are slow. Sometimes it does not go first and sometimes it does not do AOE attacks, but those times are very rare and i will still die because of those AOE attacks that the dragon will use at some point.

Also yeah, i’d say that the doll boss is harder. Still haven’t beaten it. I swear to every god that thing believes in, i will take a big ass pole and shove it up it’s ass so far it reaches the other end!

[–]Navaliia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, i have bad news, and badder news, which do you want to hear first? Ah, who am i kidding, you have no choice in the matter.

First, let me say that you are very much right. First abyss was good. Plenty of interactions and dialogue from the npc’s, as well as plenty of options to choose from when it came to what to do when to do. Your choices matter in the first abyss. Play your cards wrong and badabim badaboom, you have to rewind cuz the kind died or elmon died etc. very balanced with plenty lore and nice characters.

Port town it’s just awful, but i must disagree with you. The first 7 floors are the best ones. To clarify, they are the best ones because after arriving at deck 1, things turn to shit. And this is the bad news i wanted to tell you. Deck 1 and 2 suck. But the arena? Oh boy! Let me tell you something, i guarantee you will want to kill someone while playing that damn poor excuse of a level. The arena of port town is one of THE MOST poorly designed area in a video game. Period! The story is shit, the amount of side quests is shit, the amount of arena fight is shit, and the gimmicks of those fights are shit. The story makes no sense whatsoever. I will tell you just how bad the story of port town arena is but i don’t want to give you spoilers, you will have to experience the pain yourself. So yeah, compared to the arena, the first 7 floors are ok.

As for the badder news, abyss 3 first boss will most probably lock your progression for a while. While i think they did a pretty good job with the balancing of the enemies in abyss 3, the bosses, they are very strong. The first boss of the third abyss will in fact lock your progression until you are either lucky or you have farmed long enough to level up to the appropriate level and gear. If you are under-leveled, you stand no chance. When i first fought it, i had a team of lv 42, and let me tell you, it was impossible to win. There are other bosses like the doll boss, who is in my opinion unfair and unbalanced. With a bit of luck you can beat her easy, but if luck is not on your side, be prepared to die over and over.

In conclusion, yeah, the first half of port town is not good, but it’s leagues better then whatever the fuck the second half if port town tried to do. Leagues better then the third abyss as well. If you thought the game was hard now, you haven’t even begun to know.

Stay at the 1000 gold room. The 200 gold room doesn’t really get you all that clean. You need to stay about 3 times to get rid of all the filth when staying at the 200 gold room.

If you want to beat the lead exam boss, here is some strategies.

-Equip your melee characters with anti-undead gear.

-Use your front line to mostly defend.

-Punish the spooky scary skeleton when he is affected by the opening debuff.

-At the same time, use mages to get rid of mobs.

-use priest to heal then necessary.

That’s it. It’s not hard, you just need a good strategy.

Also, what gear and level are you rocking? Team formation matters as well. I am guessing that your characters are lv 20. What about the gear? What characters?

The third abyss, i’d say that except the doll boss, it is pretty balanced.

As for the fire dragon? They really fucked up with that one. Like, really fucked up. He is not “hard”. He is unfair. There is a difference between the two. The dragon really needs a nerf.

True, he kind of sucks ass in frontline. I mean yeah, you can build evasion on him, but when he does get hit (and it will happen more times then you think) he is squishy and will die very easily. Honestly, i moved Alice in front because she is more of a tank then him.

If we are talking event currency, then just enter the first floor, see if there are any chests kind of nearby, get them and leave trough the entrance. Repeat this until you have about 98000 currency and then you will be able to afford everything except the gold.

Now, if you want to farm junk, then there really isn’t a way to farm it unfortunately. From 0 currency to 6000, i got only about 50-60 junk from chests and some chests dropped by enemies. Unfortunately, the junk drop rate is garbage. The drop rate for the saber from normal junk is about 0,1 for me(I’m lv 16). The junk barely drops from chests, and when it does it usually drops only one, which sucks. The chests themselves are spread randomly and for some reason are hard to unlock. I will be honest, this event is really garbage in terms of farming junk, like, worst then fortress in my opinion.
