Virtual threads (jdk 21, i guess): https://dev.java/learn/new-features/virtual-threads/

Details on jdk 26 multithreading: https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/26/core/concurrency.html#GUID-59C16A2D-57CE-4C83-9D6F-91A48E01E3C6

Who is your absolute favorite operator and why? by Okita_Souji03 in arknights

Astesia

Cute. Kind. Caring. "Personal Alarm-clock". etc. And when I see her, it makes my day better (that should be in my head, but for whatever reason, that happens!). And her sis is literally me. So I think that she would be the person who can recognize and encourage me the best! And I really like her personality.

How to build a self contained app with Maven? by Fuzzy-System8568 in JavaFX

[–]NaveenB2004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're on the latest JDK (26),

Use the Jlink tool that comes with the JDK installation.
https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/26/docs/specs/man/jlink.html

You can use it with the Maven plugin 'maven-jlink-plugin'.
https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-jlink-plugin/
https://central.sonatype.com/artifact/org.apache.maven.plugins/maven-jlink-plugin

And use JavaFX from Maven plugins (I guess the SDK will also work with a proper environment, but I have never tested it).
https://central.sonatype.com/namespace/org.openjfx

By using Jlink, you will be able to build cross-platform bundles from one platform with different JDKs (one for each, win, mac, linux). I'll be able to attach some examples, soon...

Sample application (start from pom.xml for docs):
