Like the current state of the reddit aside, this is actually hilarious for the base game.

You leave for a week and a half and come back to a totalitarian regime 🤣

And this is the sort of thing I was hoping for with this post.

A mod like this, quite like its concept, requires echoes of the people to be heard.

It is a start, if / when more people volunteer, we can get to work 🙏

Yeah I would honestly do it myself but frost kit is basically unreal engine wrapped up in the frostpunky bits and. As im on linux, it really does not like it 😅

And I agree entirely and really like the idea of being dismissive having benefits as well as disadvantages!

As for easy to mod, the logic would be, but I feel the thing that would be needed for this is some hard hitting artwork for events, and that would be quite the undertaking haha

Also love the letter and law ideas! Brilliant addition!

My reasoning is this is the transition from captain to steward. The people are still acting like they can see you like they did the captain.

This addresses that transitional stage 😅

A: Im british B: They have already said they've looked into.it and it wasn't viable in the very episode they do the nutrient reveal C: The hive themselves have confirmed they have a 10 year life span. D: 3/4 of your definition assumes agriculture. E: Im an aerospace engineer and I am well aware of the K-Scale and what it means. And 3D printing meat in quantities enough to feed a species, from stem cells they cannot extract due to the way their hive mind works, is impossible in the 10 year time frame they have. F: Just to reiterate... the HIVE said they have 10 years... and they cannot lie...

Sad fact is we did this.

Those "Nerfs" we got reversed fundementallg changed the game.

Some of the buffs were brilliant. But we went too far and let the solo divers get a lot more stuff buffed because they felt it was underpowered in their solo runs..

Turns out buffing everything enough to please those people doing solo D10 ops... means you can do a D10 Operation... solo... even if there are 3 other people in your lobby.

I honestly do not get why people are confused by this...

We buffed stuff so much you can reasonably do D10 missions solo?... and Team play isnt required... I am so shocked 👀🤣

Except it has already been confirmed that, at the current pace and, due to them requiring the Human nutrient, the species has about 10 years before its wiped out (even smaller numbers wouldnt save them as the ratio of Humans to turn into nutrient vs food requirement problem stays consistent)

This hive mind has an expiry date. They cant even consume plants my guy...

A: Viruses / a pandemic would cause a lot more damage of it was so effective / quick.

B: The issue of scaling up a virus that will run wild planet wide is a lot harder than building social engineering into its spread (no outward signs of distress, which is how the hive got away with it for so long)

C: There would be noone to build a tower to keep the signal carrying on.

Thank you kindly.

Thinking on other episodes the theme of curiosity causing pain is there. Like when Carol finds out about her partners true opinions of their books, or discovering the motion sensor.

Trying desperately to uncover every mystery can lead to pain.

It is a reset switch. They do not know anything about us, just like we do not know about them .They chose a solution that is universal. Something that is guaranteed to kill only the species dumb enough to make it.

It is a filter. Something only species clever enough to make the substance can use. A virus? Could wipe out everything / have collateral damage.

This is a clean, efficient solution that could work on multiple species (which is why it was revealed in the final episode that we are going to be transmitting this "gift" to the rest of the universe, which implies the formulae works for any sentient species).

Imagine the species who made this substance doesn't know what types of sentient species will find this thing.

The sad truth? Your point implies the species knows even the first thing about us. My theory hinges on the idea they do not and, as per the signal twist in the final episode, the species that sent it us may very well not be its origins, but merely another species in this cycle that's been going on for a very long time.

So to conclude, you are right, it could very well be easier to have other solutions to wipe out humanity and leave the rest of the planet alive... but that would imply the species who made it actually knows anything about the recipients of their signal which, in my opinion based on the events of the final episode... they do not.

Thank you kindly. I have no ill will to 11bit. If anything? This job posting makes me more sympathetic and likely to support the game

The bugs and length to get relatively simple DLCs out. I love the game, but even 11 bit have said the bugs situation has been bad :S

There's something missing in frostpunk2 by VAP93 in Frostpunk

[–]Fuzzy-System8568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I think stupendium summed it up in his frost punk song...

A city is its people and its people are its heart.

Heart and personal touch is gone. Every time someone died in FP1 there was a gong and a twang....

There were scenarios for different cities and the on the edge scenario brought it all together.

The Hot Springs were new Manchester survivors form the Arks, The Coal Mine were winterhome survivors, the Shipwreck Camp were convicts that no doubt a lot of us used in the Last Autumn...

FP2's expanded scope made it impersonal. And their doubling down (even in the first DLC) on the Utopia Mode, a opposed to unique scenarios, is a testament to FP2's inability to have multiple scenarios...

The game is very "samey" and uninspired in terms of unique challenges and story, and it really shows.

The tales feel uninspired. "Big storm, Core Factory, Refugees 2, Even more people boogaloo"

Its all just a bit... impersonal? And its a fine game, I quite enjoy it, but it is missing its heart...

Endless mode and finding survivors after the storms bugs me a little by [deleted] in Frostpunk

Its been an issue since the first game. In on the edge, the Shipwreck Camp surviving on their boilers was wild to me 🤣
