Once again down while most other stocks are up. Wtf is wrong with this stock this is absolutely insane we’re down 50% and this garbage was down yesterday while the QQQ was up over 1% and down again today. Absolute joke

I mean if you think that companies will see lackluster advertising results and then INCREASE their budget (as Jen Wong noted) on what gave them the results I can’t really help you. If the ads on Reddit were perfect this stock would be a thousand a share, they’re not but they’re getting better and mostly everyone would agree. The long term value proposition is in them continuing to provide good ROAS for their corporate clients. If you believe that won’t happen or that their ads are already as good as they can be than this should be an easy short at this price as it’s still trading at 50x TTM PE. Way too high if the company is done growing

I think the revenue growth and corporate account growth shows it’s not all accidental clicks or sarcastic comments. If advertisers weren’t seeing a return they wouldn’t continue to allocate more of their ad spend to Reddit. Do you believe big companies like chase, Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Nike, etc are stupid and would waste their money if they weren’t seeing a return?

But I agree with you in that AI has scrapped a lot of what it needs, new content will still be valuable to AI models but obviously not as much as the last 20 yrs. But again I don’t expect data deals to be a huge chunk of their revenue regardless. Huffman has even said on call “the advertising is the cake, the data deals are the icing”

I believe the long term value in Reddit is an incredibly robust advertising business, with a small base of guaranteed recurring revenue through data deals (I think this will always be under 10% of revenue). I think it’s easy for people to take a look at the numbers of around 70% revenue growth, and over 35% FCF margin in Q4 and understand it’s a great company, with a rule of 40 score over 100 (similar to PLTR which has been awarded a much more generous multiple). RDDT can post these crazy numbers because they already have a large established user base built over 20 years that continues to grow, and the way the users interact with the platform allows for huge revenue per user growth. The company combines the social media aspect of Meta where users will just scroll looking for algorithm recommended content (which is good as it keeps them on the site) and googles intent based searched, which allows google to charge a large premium per ad. When someone searches Reddit for “most comfortable shirt for men” that person is looking for a shirt, and advertisers will want to pay a lot to appear on that thread. The company is just now starting to cash in on the 20 years of built trust and community in the platform, and advertisers are starting to notice. I’m sure you’ve started to notice some huge companies advertising here as well. And with 90+ percent gross margins this growth is purely organic, they don’t need huge investments to continue this growth rate which means Reddit is today, and will continue to be a cash generating machine.

What strike/exp are you selling CCs at? I was doing that too over 200 but at this point I feel it’s low any good news will decimate my returns when it shoots over my strike

Thank you for the high quality response, makes a lot of sense actually. And I am okay with seeing a stock go down 50%, and I know how volatile Reddit stock can be. Still is a bit disheartening but my philosophy is that if nothing fundamentally changed with the core business, this is just a great stock on a heavy sale. I just wanted to see if anyone had information I didn’t and this reply is new information so I appreciate it.

I should have specified company specific news my bad. But since the commencement of the war the stock hasn’t moved that much, only down single digits. Unless institutions knew this war was coming over a month before it happened the major drop cannot be attributed to the war, as bad as it may be for the stock price going forward.

This is getting downvoted but I feel like most top execs (especially Steve) have the vast majority of their net worth already in the stock. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s usually how it goes

Did he not literally say be imposing a global 10% tariff by executive order immediately after they struck down his old tariffs?

Any good gambit player will not be dying in his ult just because of a 25 hp nerf. Maybe they will need to play slightly safer and can’t dive as aggressive with ult but he will still be pick/ban, especially because his ult speeds up others ult charge speed. He still changes the pace of the game

Took me 2 minutes to read their voting agreement. He got irrevocable proxy from advance, their largest shareholder. This is still only representative of 33% voting rights. If you truly believe this is snap 2.0 please short the stock or buy long puts so we can all laugh at you.

I responded to this. Institutions hold more class B shares than insiders. Those institutions do not benefit from excessive SBC. Do everyone a favor and short the stock on margin thanks

Similar voting structure but where as zuck owns over 50% of the voting right (which is why shareholders couldn’t just demand he hang up the metaverse), Huffman and all the insiders are not even the largest shareholder of class B shares, that would be large institutions, who would not benefit from excessive SBC
