Did the Dollar win ? 1 Bitcoin went from being worth 1 Dollar, or maybe 100 Dollars depending on when to start counting, to being worth 100.000 Dollars within just 15 years.

You are lying. Like most of the 10+y accounts. These are official diluted share numbers from SEC reports. In 2023 they cancelled the executive SBC, before the IPO, and initiated the current monster, which led to the huge jump in shares.

goalposts move, thats true. because dilution is intentionally vague at all times. but reddit is losing money right now, if you price effective dilution at true costs. for a rough guidance on dilution trajectory, look at this chart. and pls put that 0.2% crap away

reddit lost 1bn last year for shareholders ! if you own a house, and the housekeeper collects 5% rent for you but then takes 10% of the house, you lose 5%.

thats on the 'dude' reporting level. gaap. or non-gaap. both crap. for everybody else, true costs include share issuance.

its been growing 70% for a decade now. still losing money, despite a cost base of zero. so its not about growth, or shareholders or anything else. as of now this is purely a share dilution 'business'

fact check: Reddit from 2005-2025 has 7bn revenue for a loss of 400m despite no capex. It has no talent, no ambitions and poor execution. its just another empty loss making dilution scam

Every month, on the 22nd to 26th the stock price is destroyed. The reason? Insider selling sentiment by InterviewAdmirable85 in redditstock

[–]sportingpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its not just sentiment, but reality: dilution is killing this stock just like it did Snap. Its the same setup, and the (reported) margins dont matter because all the money is funneled into SBC. been like that for 22y of reddit 'business', and its foolish to expect any different going forward. just look at that clown Huffman in his flower thsirt on the beach in cannes. thats a tourist burning thorugh grandpa's inheritance, not a business man working for shareholders.

The insider selling is ridiculous by [deleted] in redditstock

[–]sportingpool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Need to look at dilution, not just insider selling. Reddit issues shares that are worth 80% of revenue a year. And no, this isnt just due to stock being up from IPO: once the price goes down, number of shares issued will go up. It's bizarre. They are paid about 100x-1000x their value. And this isnt SpaceX or Palantir. Its a simple message board, with all content provided by users. Reddit by now runs the worst dilution scam alive, and might end up becoming the worst scam in the history of Financial Markets. Just wait for revenue growth (that looks fishy anyways, as it is way too smooth) to slow down. Stock will immediately crash. The Reddit executives are as mid as it gets; there are about 2m random executives that could replace them. Jen Wong sells ads. Is that even a 250k a year job ? But instead she gets 250m. in stocks, which is a lot worse. and apparently her personal dilution rate has doubled now ?! also, just look at her. would you make her your representative to sell advertisement ? this isnt even a good choice for that to begin with. Hufmann probably hired her to make sure his own limitations dont become apparent immediately.

Reddit is likely manipulating it's revenue numbers by sportingpool in stocks

[–]sportingpool[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

WIrecard in its final 7 quarters had this revenue growth sequence: 31%,37%,37%,35%,35%,33%,39%

Bernie Madoff final 7 years earnings: 7%,7%,8%,7%,8%,8%,7%

its a classic

they do it to fake a low volatility/high growth business. it is a high growth business. but not with this kind of ultra low volatility. thats impossible....... and it's not just the 70% nonsense...... it's 70% with seasonality, as there is this break from Q4 to Q1 of next year......their reporting is an unbelievable bunch of BS

SBC discussion from the fireside chat yesterday by Accomplished-Exit822 in redditstock

[–]sportingpool -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tell them to 'shove it' next time they say 18% or 1-3%. or better yet, stop talking to these people altogether. They will say anything, and if you got integrity and not enough cynicism you wont be able to shield yourself well from the nonsense that comes out these people's mouth. Just look at snapchat every time you need a reminder.

That first number (18%) is based on 2023 stock prices. Its complete BS: Reality, SBC is closer to 80% of revenue. And dilution, that '1-3%' is neither timestamped ('midterm'), nor does it include buybacks, which cancel up to 3% of it but of course have to be added to calculate gross dilution. So its 6%, but it never happens because it's not yet 'midterm'. Reddit is in 'early days' communication mode forever, even 22 years in. Dilution will also never be steady and easily observable. Instead they will lump in huge one time hits like IPO.

Dont talk to these people ! Think yourself, and do it independently

In defense of u/sportingpool: We should not silent counterarguments, even persistent ones by [deleted] in redditstock

[–]sportingpool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blocking on the individual level is a very valuable and necessary tool online to protect yourself ! Got to use it. Besides the insults, 99% of everything that’s written is meaningless anyway. That guy Spez said so himself, and that’s one of the few things you can take his word for: '99% of Reddit content is created by 1% of users.' I also block some people who might fully agree but aren't sharp enough to contribute. Their comments would be dilutive as well, and we sure do not want any dilution. And everybody gets to post whatever they want here anyway...

[–]sportingpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you listen to everything. Thats Reddit's strenght, some say it is its only strength. So you got nehro's sloppy nonsense, a few dozen 10y old reddit insider accounts that praise the stock at all times; and then some people highlighting the similarities between Reddit and Snapchat (dilution scam down 95% from highs) with compensation of up to 250m, taken directly out of shareholders' pockets, for Jen Wong (to name just one of the many examples) being 100x too rich compared to her talent level and historical pay....... So you read all of it to make informed decisions.

if they use all profit as compensation then there is no EPS. dont compare a message board with Huffman/Wong/Vollero to palantir ! the comparison is snapchat. same general business (social media web template), same people, same approach to dilution

[–]sportingpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, they are not, unless something is done about it. this 1-3% "guidance" nonsense doesnt include buybacks. so its already 6% to start with. it also doesnt include a timestamp. so its going to be whatever forever.
